i switch, and in both roles i like the same thing about using instruments in place of flesh at times.
whether receiving or giving sensation, using any part of the body directly for any purpose instills an underlying feeling of connection, caressing, caring... that human contact during softness or cruelty comes through and i enjoy that undertone, that backdrop for the situation and sensation.
and that's exactly why i like using tools and having them used on me: the opposite. no matter the sensation being given, that lack of direct human contact, of some form of touch, gives it a disconnected feeling to it. it's more mechanical in undertone and lack of emotion for me.
i like to simply feel separate and manipulated mechanically at times and like to do so... i don't get that separation from the person with direct touch.
That was a unique point about the desired disconnect when strictly toys are used in a mechanical like fashion. As a Dom I understand what you mean. She can disconnect with the societal human condition and concentrate on the sensations while being used, allowing both of us to feel our roles greatly without encumbrances. Then with the strictly human touch sensations, it can work also in a good, but different way.
There can also be a third way of combining the mechanical with touches, words and emotions. He feels what you feel and talks with you about your pain, your submission, fears and desires with a spattering of encouragement, warnings or whatever. Interesting post.
