i know there are O/others on CM that are also sick & tired of seeing the following >>>> "Why does it say vanilla next to my name?. i am NOT vanilla!!!..i never HAVE been vanilla!!!" <<<<<<...... Does that just scream out piss poor attitude or what? ...i just wanna reach right out and knock those people right upside their attitude.....i get the impression when i read thoes posts that they are pissed ....so what big deal it says vanilla...sheesh...we A/all gotta start somewhere.....besides, i can't help but think that if they were to read the terms, conditions and the how to'sand the why 4's of the message boards then they would know before hand what the word vanilla is doing there

It's a forum board post rating, It'll change the more valid posts people make. and I say valid because the mods will keep you at a certain level experince even tho posts go up if they think people are post whoreing, meaning posting just to make a rating go up. PErsonally I think it's silly to get so upset over a title on a message board.

Yep. I agree. But oh well. The ones that are starting to get on my nerves are the "Secretary", "Story of O" and "Sleeping Beauty" threads. It seems like there's a new one every week. I see them and silently poke at the voodoo doll I've made and named "Jaded BDSM Stories". Then I scream "BRANCH OUT, DAMMIT!", roll my eyes and I'm over it. People are clueless until they take steps to change that, and I'm just as bad as the rest so I'll cut them some slack. (At least enough to let them get tripped up in.) We were all there once or twice. On a side note, isn't it funny how someone can be on the site and in the scene for years and still act like an ignorant ass or a clueless moron? Then there are always the people that are here for a day and bring a rare bit of insight into our lives. As a rule I have less sympathy for the former than for just plain newbs. Ah well, humans are a rare breed. I think I need beamed back to my home planet. Nanoo nanoo.

Or the threads where the op is complaining about someone else complaining about something yet those same people will make a thread complaining about something else and expect everyone not to complain about them complaining.

Sheesh, life can't be too bad if that's all that burns your toast! I've said many times; there are no new topics, just new people confronting them so unless you were born experienced in everything, lighten up and give 'em a break! Focus.

How about they're just normal people who made a life decision to explore BDSM because vanilla was unfulfilling, frustrating or whatever and the first thing they're hit with on the boards is to be labelled "vanilla" from the get go! Not exactly encouraging considering taking that first step is a big deal for most newbies, especially older ones, and I doubt they're here to prove anything to anyone other than themselves. Because people who are unsure of who they are get self conscious about being labelled. I don't see it as a bad attitude I just see it as insecurity.

Good grief, if I cared what people thought about me or what "category" I should be in I would be a wreck. Thankfully, I do not. Call Me what you will, classify me as you might, It will not anger or even interest me in the slightest. Methinks there are much bigger fish to fry than someone whining about their message board rating or becoming violently enraged by that whining.

now, i do have to say what you think is frivolous to me is not. how about if i said all you say is frivolous. some of which i do think is but im not saying it. when i say something it has meaning to me and if you dont like it thats your opinion. if i say anything i mean it whether somebody thinks so or not. and if i cared if i was going to get jumped on then i wouldnt put anything on any board. i may not be as smart as you but i do have things to say. just remember this kitten has claws and to hear a sub tell me im frivolous only makes me more mad. of course a dom telling me this would make me mad too but today is christmas so i will keep goodwill in my heart for now.
