Any time an opposing, even offensive, point of view is silenced and that silence is lauded ... The First Amendment of the US Constitution, since she is a US Citizen, guarantees her right to speak her mind. Even if you think she's full of it. I personally am tired of people treating "not being offended" as some sort of Right. It's BullShit, as is all Politically Correct nonsense. (See Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_correctness and the link to Chairman Mao's Little Red Book ) Someone is ALWAYS offended. Whether when someone calls Bush : "I would like to apologize for referring to George W. Bush as a "deserter." What I meant to say is that George W. Bush is a deserter, an election thief, a drunk driver, a WMD liar and a functional illiterate." -- Michael Moore OR when they pick on Clinton: Novak has called Clinton "mean" and has repeatedly referred to her as "Madame Defarge," a villainous character in Charles Dickens's novel A Tale of Two Cities. --> Robert D Novak OR Obama: “Today in America we are witnessing a repeat performance of the tragedy of 1933 when an entire nation let itself be led like a lamb to the Socialist slaughterhouse. This time, the end of freedom is inevitable unless America rises to her mission and destiny.” Hilmar points to events surrounding the election of Barack Hussein Obama as reminiscent of the way the Nazi regime came to power. --> Hilmar von Campe OR calling McCain "McSame" -> DNC It is also tiring to see all these ad hominem attacks. No logic; no discussion. Just vitriol against people who disagree with someone's viewpoint. They point to a lack of logic and substance in someone's beliefs. Be nice if people would discuss the issues, instead of attacking or misdirecting ( http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/index.html#index )
