Eh.....porn is a fact and a part of life. If you're bothered by what you consider excessive porn ads, then set your browser controls to block them. What you may deem excessive, other consider not enough which is all a matter of perspective. Much of the porn advertising on CM really doesn't bother me.

Lucylastic -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 3:35:50 PM)

I just adjust my browser to the size of  the screen Im chatting in, no adverts,  no annoying flashing, no distractions. Works on all sites. Thats not to say I havent gotten caught with porn on my screen but its just lessening the possible impact.
And I agree, no such thing as excessive porn:)

If it bother's you THIS much then perhaps you should find another site to go to because CM has to pay the bills some how.

mummyman321 -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 4:09:44 PM)

As a free site Collarme is one of the best I have ever seen. I have no problems with the advertisements. They do have to pay the bills.

xxblushesxx -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 5:12:35 PM)

I personally don't like it.
I remember when they first started putting the really smutty pics up, (as opposed to exposed breasts or whatnot...erm...actually no whatnot, but anyway...) and people were getting cmails regarding those pics. They thought it was related to the profile.
I don't want my profile mixed up with that stuff, but, I'm rather private when it comes to uhm...private things.
So, I vote to get rid of the porn. (not that my vote matters, but you asked!)

I am on this sight to meet people not to veiw pornography if you have nudity in your privet photos I do not have a issue with that what my issue is if I am chatting with some one I have nude photos of some type of scene Advertissing another site so that basicaly means that I can not come on to this sight unless I am in a place ware their are no children  usually this is not mutch of a problem but it should not be one at all how do other members feel about exssesive porn what do you think?

It keeps the site free so I don't care.

tsatske -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 5:21:33 PM)

yes, Aquatic, that is the core of it.
This is a free site - free as in, you and I don't pay for it. But somebody has to.
So, you can go smut free, if enough people wanna pay.
Or you can have smut, if that pays the bills.
What is your vote, then?

Edit:
And here's something I've always wondered -
Why does porm pay the bills? And how?
Even on a sex positive site, I know of almost NO one who admits to clicking on the ads, much less joining the advertised sites or buying pay porm from them.
In fact, this extends past porn. I know of almost no one who has ever admited,
'yea, so I was on my favorite Gaming site, and I saw an add for a board game store, and I found the perfect gift for Mom!'
I never hear anyone say, 'I was on Dot's wieght loss site, and I saw this ad, and I went, and they have the most awesome big girl's clothes'
I am forced to conclude that either:
a. expectation has not caught up with reality - advertisers still THINK that internet ads on free site will turn into bucks, but, eventually, the internet will have to be funded some other way, because it is not working.
or, b. no one is willing to admit to clicking on a free ad, but everyone does it, kind of like masterbating. (or, if not everyone - the point is - enough people to support the internet habbit of those who don't.)

kiwisub12 -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 5:32:18 PM)

Porn is only excessive if your kids see it, or your mother. If the people looking at it aren't either of these groups, then by definition it isn't excessive.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: exssesive porn (11/28/2008 6:37:31 PM)

Well for one honestly just  because I can, and two he asked how do other members feel about the excess porn.

I personally don't care, I have other things to worry about, and advertising on the personals side of collarme isn't one of them.

Then why'd you post?
