Didn't see any current posts on this. I wanted some help/ideas with some cute gift ideas to get your Dom/sub.. (not the normal gift ideas)  without spending too much, more of like a fun gift.. I did buy a pair of metal handcuffs the drugstore had, it was in the toy section, but it is real metal. and i got some rope in the hardware section.. not overly happy with it, so thought i would ask for some suggestions :)

You could get some lengths of chain from the hardware store, or stop by the local pet shop (I always get dirty thoughts, especially when passing the kennels and collar isles). If they sell horse equipment they might have a selection of crops. Rolls of duct tape and pallet saran wrap can be found at Dom Depot and are loads of fun to play with, as is plaster cloth from the hobby shop.

go to the dollar store, one of those everything is a buck places.......... buy a basket of some sort that will fit all the stuff in it, clothesline, clothes pins, a package of wooden spoons, a fluffy feather duster, a few of those tall jar candles the parafin ones, a shower curtain, a ruler, ect.  

clothes line makes fun rope bindage, clothes pins go on nipples and anywhere else that is sensitive, wooden spoons make fun spanking toys, a fluffy feather duster can be a tease when run over the body, the candles for warm wax play, the shower curtain to keep the wax off the floor........ for $10 you have a basket O fun.

Wax play kit- small crock pot, half parts paraffin and half parts large glass colored wax candles, a soft paintbrush, baby oil, baby powder

Email ShiftedJewel on the other side, she makes cute zippers and floggers that are really inexpensive. Or you could ask her how to do some of your own.

You can make a really nice flogger out of gimp.  Gimp is a plastic thread kinda stuff that kids use to make multi-coloured rope out of.  They they turn it into bracelets and necklaces.

It makes a great flogger because it doesn't hurt TOO too much, but all the little corners and edges leave tiny little cuts on your back.  Think about the cuts you get when shaving.  Little knicks like that.

Good for leaving marks, or if you're a hardcore sadist, a shot from a spray bottle full of vinegar.  [:D]

I think that nice "home made" BDSM toys would make a lovely gift.  They are not hard or expensive to make and show that you put thought...and maybe LOVE...into your gift.

Things I have made and enjoyed over the years include:
Paddles:  cut them out yourself or look for "paddle tramp" (this is a company that makes the paddles for fraternaties and sorrorities) products.  Hobby Lobby, Micheals, and other crafty stores will have some neat things to use for paddles in the "unfinished" wood section.
Floggers:  I have made flaggers out of beads (OUCH but VERY pretty), bungie cord, ropes of varying types, tire tubing with a bike handle as a ...well...handle, braided leather belt UNbraided and bunched together (this added some interesting textures), chimois (you know the thing you dry a car with .... I do not know how to spell it...but just cut it and bunch it and it is very soft for warm up / cool down), I even made a pretty flogger out of a leather skirt (just cut the material up) that was too big.
Canes: these are cheap and easy to make out of all kinds of material.  Just be creative.

All of these things are super inexpensive but can bring enjoyment for your relationship for a very longtime.

Go get a heavy cutting board.  One with a handle on it.  Dominants tend to like them for some reason.

Leather goods are always appreciated. Likewise with little electro-vibrating things that can be shoved into places where they'll keep for a while, silently buzzing away, during the work week. You'll have to demand to see exhausted batteries, or start the cycle anew! :)

You could always get a soy candle to use just on your Dom, so that when your giving him a massage that scent is the one for him and no one else. A nice service most Doms tend to like. :-)

This isnt a toy, more a skill, but go to your local library and get a book on foot reflexology. my Master, who loves having His feet rubbed anyway, LOVED it and i do it about once every 2 weeks now.

well i just got back from the dollar store and AC Moore. I think i am going to TRY to make a Bondage Bear.. (if anyone has done one before and have any tips i would love to hear..) i got a bear at the dollar store, and they had some bear clothes, i got a police uniform which had little hand cuffs and a stick :) then i got a cute little pink school girl dress, a cat collar with rhinestones, at the hobby shop got a minature paddle, it is adorable!! and some of that gimp stuff Snail Shell mentioned.. and some dowels, one i can keep as a cane and some small ones i am hoping to make a flogger out of with the gimp just not sure how to attach it lol.., als got some felt to make a blindfold out of, some thick yarn for rope..wish i knew some cool knots to do on it (that i could use help on!).. oh yes and some minature clothes pins!!!
ok way too much info i am sure you all wanted to know, but i am quite excited about it, and if it turns out really well it maybe hard to part with, or i can make more and maybe go in business as selling really cool bears! lol

You could always make a zipper, as few or as many clothespins as you like- Tie them together with some ribbon... mine is all fruity, with bows on every pin. [:D]
