Wolf1020 -> How many... (12/25/2005 1:08:45 PM)

I know plenty (if not most) of us here probably use various toys or props but I was wondering how many of us actually use dungeon theme'd furniture? St. Andrews Crosses, stocks, cages, etc.

wolffeathers -> RE: How many... (12/25/2005 3:08:01 PM)

As soon as I have the time and money, I will be getting/making some themed furniture.

First thing is a cage for the pet.

That's why I go to the local clubs, to use such equipment ;-)

"Space" is my primary deterrant for having that kind of equipment at home thus far. While there is some nice fold down furniture out there, even having the space to store it is problematic. I think even when I get to the point where I can have dedicated playspace, I would likely pursue something more Victorian boudoir themed than dungeon, so really, large equipment doesn't factor high into that.

you could look for pervetables if you do not have the spae for equipment.

peppermint379 -> RE: How many... (12/26/2005 8:38:48 AM)

My new home will be a 40 foot motorhome. There just isn't the space for specialized equipment. However, there have been eyebolts installed in hidden places. (there are no privacy doors to be shut when vanilla friends come to visit) We'll go to a dungeon when we wish to play using larger things like a St Andrews cross.

GADomCpl -> RE: How many... (1/2/2006 1:41:45 PM)

As of right now we don't have any themed furniture but thats mainly because we don't really have the space for it anywhere. Once we get a bigger place, bring on the dungeon baby!

At last years Thunder in The Mountains here in Denver, there was a vendor that sold St. Andrews Crosses that came apart easy and could be turned into a stand that was very discrete. Kind of like those old transformers toys, but for adults. I wish I could remember the name of the company, as I know so many people that do not have the space, or do not want everybody who comes into their home to know what they are up to.

As for me, we have a fully equipped dungeon that seems to be out growing itself. Some stuff looks midieval, other stuff looks more modern.

This is the primary advantage of a pro dungeon. My favorite big piece of equiptment that hardly ever gets used? The Catherine wheel.

MsSaskia -> RE: How many... (1/13/2006 4:01:54 PM)

I'm deeply jealous! I've wanted one for years, but (as Colcon said) I've outgrown my space and my ceilings are too low. Does yours have a brake on it so you can stop the wheel in one position?

The break down crosses and spanking benches were sold at Thunder in the Mountains by a company called Foxy Furniture or something similar. Their booth was right next door to mine, so I got a very good look at their stuff.

They don't use the exotic woods that I'm so fond of, but their construction is solid and they are fairly priced. A friend of mine has their St. Andrews cross, and when it's broken down, one would never guess that it turns into a piece of kinky furniture. You could leave it in plain sight in your living room and no one will be the wiser.

We have a very nice dungeon in the home with quite a bit of furniture. Who uses it the most??? Our guest...lol.

Because we live 24/7, in a home that operates as a 24/7 lifestyle home - going to the dungeon to "scene" does not happen that frequently. Any room in the house - at Master's choosing - can host a scene.

Yet - the dungeon is something he takes great pride in - constantly improving, constantly adding furniture, constantly adding lighting effects, creative ways to pipe and control the music levels, etc.

Yes - our guest love it!!! lol.

I use my dungeon furniture all the time. I love it and I know if I have to go to another location, I miss it.. Of course I can play anywhere, but I find it so useful and it adds to the whole sceen.

They're not "props" to me.  They're a part of my life!  I have a jail cell, spanking horse, rack and a cross, as well as a portable cage and a swing.

SaphireLynn -> RE: How many... (9/4/2006 6:08:32 AM)

there is a Dom in Amarillo, Texas that makes cutomized Dungeon furniture just like you want.... and is alot less than what you see online and then you can pick it up and even save the shipping. Let Me know if you'd like his email addy.

MistressSassy66 -> RE: How many... (9/7/2006 11:38:37 PM)

I use My dungeon furniture all the time.
I have it to use so why not use it every chance I get.

Next is getting the outside space up to par for sessions...oh boy submissives tied to trees...I cant wait [:D]

DiurnalVampire -> RE: How many... (9/7/2006 11:43:23 PM)

I havent yet, but I dont live on my own either.  Explaining to my parents why I hav a folding St. Andrews Cross in my room might be difficult.
When I do get my own place *6 -8 months knock on wood* I might see where things with Angel and I are going, and see if I think some new toys might be in order.

I bought a St Andrews cross several years ago from a company in Chicago, when not in use it becomes the foot board of my bed.   It is one piece and folds open and closed takes about 5 minutes to get ready.

The company is www.exoticwoodpaddles.com they used to sell BDSM furniture you could have in view around your house and no one would know.  They made a dinning room table that coverted into a very large patted bondage table, a wet bar that converted into a cage and several types of coffee tables that where spanking benches.  The best part is everything is made out of solid exotic woods and the prices as very reasonable.

I don't know if they sell them anymore, I know the guy that owns the shop does alot of custom work so even if it is not on the web site can't hurt to ask if they still make them.

I have a bed-of-nails if that counts .....

DanielNheart -> RE: How many... (9/8/2006 8:12:09 PM)

I own a ranch style home. One of the benefits is the full basement.  Half has been made into a rather nice dungeon.  Most of the furniture there was made in the other half which happens to be my woodwork shop.  People who do not need to know about our lifestyle believe it is just a storage room.

BD123 -> RE: How many... (9/9/2006 11:44:14 AM)

For many due to location a trip to a local club, to use such equipment is not an option, nor is the hich cost of purchased furtiture. With a few power tools and some know-how the best bet is to "build your own", however a set of plans to follow would be very helpful.
