what if any kind of music do you like to use when you are about to scene with someone..I like to start slow and work it up to a good spanking session personally.

Rover -> RE: music and scenening (12/1/2008 7:57:02 PM)

I pretty much ignore the music when I scene.  So whatever helps my partner get into the desired headspace is kewl with me.

Music.... like lighting, scented candles or textures are sensory stimulants that can be a part of a scene.  I don't usually prefer music either as I have found it can be distracting if the mood isn't right.  I have however used it in the past.  I prefer a saxaphone....John Coltrane is good.  I use it mostly when I leave somebody alone for awhile...or after I have them bound.  Its never usually something that is constantly in the background...I manage it...like everything else.

SweetNika -> RE: music and scenening (12/1/2008 9:15:32 PM)

I hate music during scenes I want to hear my partner breath, his heart beat, I want to hear my body react to him not music.

Nothing with vocals and nothing that intrudes upon our consciousness. I don't want to be paying attention to the music, I want to be focused on him and on what I feel. I don't want him focused on the music instead of me and how he feels either.

Usually comes down to soft jazz just to cover up outside noises that might distract us.

greeneyedreamer -> RE: music and scenening (12/2/2008 5:33:35 AM)

I have in the past loved music during any interludes. Now, however, I prefer just to hear his voice whispering to me. Ah, nothing better than his voice in my head.

Recently DrJeep mentioned Thomas Tallis and 'Spem in Alium'.....so I youtube'd it and was blown away. M downloaded more of this music and made a CD for me, which he's used and I adore it.

The music is a tool that M uses to take me to all SORTS of places. A bit like Rover......it doesn't 'do' anything for M......it's all about me.

i enjoy music that has a good driving beat, it helps my M'Lady get into the scene and after it starts i don't much hear it. the butt boys have good music.

yourMissTress -> RE: music and scenening (12/2/2008 8:43:18 PM)

FR

I have several cd's that I've put together for play time.  For impact play I like metal/industrial rock.  I start with something with a low tone and move up to fast and hard beats.  I love Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Disturbed, Bush, Godsmack just to name a few.

I had a sub who HATED when I struck in time to the music, totally fucked with her head space and she could not get into subspace when I did.[:D]

And when I am in the most evil mood, I will play my flute, just before I use it.[;)]

NoFury -> RE: music and scenening (12/2/2008 10:39:00 PM)

I like music with which is either without vocals, or with vocals in a language incomprehensible for me. Otherwise, the language part of my brain gets enaged with the music. I like African music and Japanese Kodo drumming best for scening.

pompeii -> RE: music and scenening (12/3/2008 5:09:12 AM)

I don't particularly go for music but I find it soothes a sub nicely given exotic instrumentals ...

daddysliloneds -> RE: music and scenening (12/3/2008 5:18:11 AM)

monks chanting is great for impact play; then there's always led zepplin for the slutty sex.
