Why is this always a man's fall back insult - to me anyway. I know I am not fat. I weigh less than 120 lbs, and everyone in close contact with me says I have lost too much weight and need to gain some of it back. So why is it when a man can't get the best of me, or control me, they always say well you're fat?

Krikkit is like, a GENIUS! Honestly, I always laugh at that fallback, which invariably comes from someone I have turned down for some perfectly valid reason. Funny thing, he was pursuing me pretty fiercely before, and my weight didn't change between emails! [:D]

Because boys are dumb. shrug Don't take it too personally, you'll going to get ugly/fat/retarded/etc etc from pouting guys here a lot. Besides, I see no fat! [:D]

Well I know that. :) What I don't know is why? Is it a way of trying to humiliate a woman -me- or destroy their self esteem? Is it ingrained in the brain to make such a destructive response?

Well, if you consider how the media portays the anorexia ideal of beauty, and how half the commercials on TV are for weight loss stuff, it seems like a cheap and easy comeback! Those of us who ARE fat, know it, and we are by and large cool with it. The thin women don't always know that they are thin! I have worked with women who are a size 8 and perpetually on a diet. If you are insecure, I guess FATTTT might score a hit. Not super likely, though. Mean people are not often smart people, in my experience. Mean, frustrated, small minded men know how to lash out in unkind ways as their only defense. Sad.

lol...it is far simpler than that...they don't even really 'think' about the damage they are doing to the recipient...they just react from the base ID part of the ego...you hit their ego by saying no thanks (rejection) so they strike back at yours and reject you back...many men are immature despite appearances to the contrary...they know that most women have weight issues of some sort or another and it is a quick easy target. dont worry, they do it to each other all the time too...i work in a very male dominated environment and see them at their absolute best and worst...they are no better to each other and routinely slam each other for weight, appearance and anything that might dent the armor of the other guy...ouch! they say women are catty but men take the cake!!

Or you can reply like I did to one. It went something like this. OMG, thank you SO MUCH for noticing. I've been trying so hard, eating and eating everything I can possibly get my hands on. My goal is 450# and I have 52# to gain before I get there. (obviously my photos are old and outdated) I have been too busy to take new ones. I think when I get over 400 I will take nudes and I promise to send you copies. Please be patient with me, a woman can only spend so many waking moments eating.

Thank you! One of the many reasons I am never bored. The ability to entertain myself, even with trolls. The bummer part was that he didn't write back. I was soooooooo hoping.

They use that insult because they lack the intelligence and self esteem to shrug off the rejection and move on, instead they attempt to boost their ego by getting the last word in. It is quite pathetic really.
