I am getting email notifications... for mail that does not show up in my box but I can access when I click on said notification.

Interesting.

I've activated mail notifications all throughout the CollarMe and CollarChat sites yet I receive no such notifications.

Angelika, sometimes my mail notifications come days after I've read the mail.  It's just stuck in the system somewhere.

I am accustomed to that oddity... no, these are email notifications for mail that does not exist in my mailbox (not in bulk ...I checked)... I can read mail and respond to mail but I have to access it via the notification... otherwise it is somewhere in the ether...

Are you having to log in when you click on the link in the mailbox? Weird as this may sound, are you positive it's coming from CM? Might want to see if you can do a who is on the ip address just to double check. Sorry, anything about clicking links and things going wonky always makes me a bit nervous, my own bad experience from a few years ago. I'd check just to be certain.

Mail Weirdness!  Is anyone else getting Collar Me Mail, but not receiving notifications? All of a sudden, the notifications telling me I have new mail have just ceased. Is it a site wide thing?

Nope. I'm not getting cmails or email notification of cmails.
 
I think if I moved beyond the topic of gutting fish I'd do slightly better.[8|]

Dang, that just happened, I usually don't click the links in email notifications, but I had mail in my cmail box that didn't know it. So I clicked the link in the email notification and damned if I didn't have a message I wouldn't have gotten.

Guess I will check the email notifications more so. A minor inconvenience.

I'm having the same issue. I think the servers need to be burped. Either the whole 'notification' thing has failed OR it works and a bazillion notifications are standing at a non-working 'gate' waiting to leave for all the different email destinations.
 
Either way, when it cuts loose, it may get messy..

Anyone hearing any complaints on the mileage between you and someone else?  I have some guy reporting my profile because he says he is in PA and I am in MO, but his thing says I am 51 miles away... so he is reporting me for being a fake. lol

Now he says he works for this board and I will be out of here because I am a fake. lol

I wonder if it all leads back to the zip code portion under My Account? I was told of a situation last week where a lady reportedly fifty miles from me showed up as being 1,051 miles away. That means she's either just outside St. Louis or in the Atlantic Ocean halfway between the East Coast and Ponta Delgada, Portugal

It seems to me that the mileage thing has always been a bit squirrely. As for the mail notifications, they always worked fine for me and were pretty much always prompt, too...until today. I've gotten several emails, including a test message I sent to myself, and received no notifications at my real email address. I checked my account and email settings and nothing has changed. I still have the right boxes checked and the correct address listed.

I've been down after doing too much work and have been reading journals.  We seem to have some self appointed CM police who are going around exposing the fakes... using the mileage thing and naming names in their journals.  I found a board poster on one of these lists today.  I was reported, she was reported and neither of us are the fakes they accuse us of being.  I found at least three cm self appointed cops in the last day.  This isn't funny!
