I was having trouble with my computer so I called Richard, the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over. Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him, 'S o, what was wrong?' He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.' I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.' Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?' 'No,' I replied. 'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.' < /SPAN> So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T I used to like the little shit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Another oldie but goodie.. enjoy....

lolol, at least he fixed it instead of wiping your hard drive which is what usually happens to me when one of those pc whizzes tries to fix something.

Sad thing is that in three years when my youngest goes to college, I am gonna be so fucked. I can't get anything to work; he does it all - computers, cell phone, digital camera. I'm supposed to go to something Sunday and need to take pics. He's not going to like it when I insist he comes along to take them. "What is this weird symbol on the bottom of the phone? And can you make it go away?"

At least he gave you credit for being able to figure it out if you wrote it down. I can't even figure out how to use my MP3. I forgot to take it home for thanksgiving to get my boys to show me - now what am I gonna do? oh, shit.

I still use the phrase "It'll be a picnic". It tends to give the user the impression it's going to be a walk in the park..... but... Problem In Chair Not In Computer.
