Yes dear, seriously. That much money isn't something I would joke about. Since I only brought a Visa Checkcard (which EVERYONE ELSE ON THE FARKING PLANET RECOGNIZES AS A VISA) - rather than a Visa "credit card" - $400 "security deposit" or I couldn't get the car at all. According to the claptrap given to me by the %$#*&($#*&^ clerk - it's to keep people from not having the money in the account to cover the bill when the car is turned back in. Well duh - it comes outta checking when it's run, which means it doesn't need to be in there 3 days later, cause they've already got it! I would have just told them to stuff the keys someplace unpleasant, but I'd already waited in line for an Hour by that time, and was in No mood to stand in line for an hour or two at another car rental booth to give the Royal Fuck You to Budget.
edited to add - Bearalicious and I went and had dinner since no one else is around yet - and OMG - if the two of us happen to just start laughing maniaclly after looking at each other - don't ask, it's complicated, and it no doubt means no good for Someone whaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahhaha
