I was careful about your knee. Be glad that a certain groundhog isn't around cause he'd be humping your leg and prolly make it worse...hahahahahahaha

Holly Honey..that's what dogs are for...a properly trained dog only chews his own toys, the ones you hand him....

Actually you can train a cat just like you train a dog, but you have to start early and it is done by taking behaviors they already display and reinforcing them with a reward and word. I have trained cats in the past to come when called, walk on a leash, sit on command, sit up/beg on command, move to specific places I want them ( like chair for grooming), get down from places by order, and to sheath claws when they are trying to pet back and not to claw furniture. It does take patience, Lots of Patience. But it can be done. there is one guy who has a mob of cats that he has trained to walk tightropes, push baby carriages (toy), balance on balls etc. As long as a cat thinks it is fun, they will learn. Not all cats will think it is fun however.

Remember they do learn how to wake us up for food, and to signal when they want to go out.

Thanks poen...guess I'm so used to being owned by a dog and thinking that I have a dog well trained when in fact, she has me quite trained also! Often I wonder who's been trained more: me or the dog [:D]

Snicker....mine do what I say when I tell them to...and know that they are not allowed to do certain things, like hump the guests legs, take food from the table no matter how tempting and Ko will dro a pit bull when ordered to. The cat stays off the counter top no matter what is up there she wants, even shrimp. No clawing of the couch or snoozing on the bed ( me allergic) but she does have one table base leg that she does stretch her claws on and she is allowed on couch and chairs so is happy about it.

snicker...YEARS of experience.
