My New Year’s Eve plans have changed and I find myself with nothing special to do. Just wondering…does anyone know of any BDSM groups that are having play parties?

The Crucible is doing their annual "Puttin on the Ritz" ball which, this year, they are combining the kinky party with the swingers.

Dark Odyssey is having their Winter Fire weekend from Fri-Mon.

Dunno about elsewhere.

Master helps manages a club here in New Orleans(I see you are from Ms...we used to live there as well) Its a swingers/Alternate lifestyle club and its going to be a huge bash! I have a big decision too. Since it is New Year's Eve shall I go with my typical fetish type clothing -- or take advantage of the holiday to don a slinky glamour-slut dress I have only gotten to wear once before. Black with some gold sequin detailing. Hmmm. Fetish Fashion Police?

ALWAYS glamour!!!! I rarely ever wear fetish wear and it amazes me how few people in the scene wear gowns, I love them! Everyone does black/red/purple/leather/latex.

Sigh. To someone who doesn't care about interior design, they will say "Does it really matter what color the walls are? It won't change the structure of the house"

No denying that, and if fashion is not something you value, then of course what you wear won't matter to you.

But I love fashion, costuming, putting ensemble together. Right now the biggest issue over the weekend I have is whether to wear my olive green satin knee-length dress OR my purple velvet empire waist ankle length gown on Friday. And since I'm going to a weekend convention with two partners who haven't had any significant time together before, that kinda lets you know where my mind is (or how cool my partners are).

Clothes EXPRESS who you are inside, they PORTRAY an image of you, your body is your canvas. What you paint on it says immense things about a person.

It matters to me. Although I'm not big on sequins, I love dressing up in gorgeous, glamorous clothes.

It's true that what you wear won't change the person inside, but if you like silk and satin and velvet, why not indulge yourself if you want to?
