Which master and which slave?

MTslave -> RE: a question for Masters (12/26/2005 7:21:02 PM)

My questions would be..... why shouldn't they?

Should they marry - No! .... Could they Marry... hell yes! But, only if it is Wanted! The question is. Do they want to?

MasterBenedict -> RE: a question for Masters (12/26/2005 7:43:59 PM)

I think that depends on a few things like how serious 'you' are also how sincere the master is

OscarHargraves -> RE: a question for Masters (12/26/2005 7:51:21 PM)

I'm sure that would work much better than a Master and a Master marrying.......

Seriously, why not? If they are willing to make another and different commitment to each other more power to them.

Only if they both want it and they are allowed to marry by their legal system.

Can't marry Fox -- already married to another man.

But then again, I don't want to marry Fox. I see him as property, not as a spouse; both are partners by for me they are different.

.... speaking of legal system, in what jurisdiction is this next conundrum unfolding?

Maybe you could find a nice badger or maybe an ermine?

In some ways it makes more sense for masters to marry eachother than for masters to marry their slaves.

I'm of the same line of thinking as Tammy- I've no desire to marry an owner unless they felt it was necessary for some life practical issue. I'm property.

But of course I agree with the rest- people should marry who they want to marry, no matter what else is going on.

I just love it when the word ermine is worked into a sentence.

FangsNfeet -> RE: a question for Masters (12/26/2005 9:15:33 PM)

So a Master wants a slave to marry him. Does he ask kneeling to one knee with a diamond ring or does he order for the marriage and drags her to the Priest or JP?

Traditionaly, it's the male who is suppose to ask for hand in marriage. However, some marriages have been done by force.

Anyways, through out history, there have been many rulers who have married slaves and had a good life. In todays BDSM life style, there are many Masters who have married there slave. Marriage strengthens there bond and gives the slave more opprotunities to serve her Master.

However, I can also see the point were some think that marriage may bring the slave up to or almost equal to the master. Fortunatly, a real Master/Dom will always put there sub/slave in there place regardless of a marriage certificate or not.

afmvdp -> RE: a question for Masters (12/27/2005 9:03:35 AM)

a slightly odd question... what is different from a Master asking a slave to marry him, and two other random people getting married? To many who take things a bit more seriously a Collar is often viewed very similarly to a wedding ring in fact, though perhaps closer to an engagement ring as it's more to denote ownership and committment.

But if they desire to do so, sure. Though I would suspect that many questions would need to be answered before hand.

That and always get a prenuptial

KatyLied -> RE: a question for Masters (12/27/2005 12:49:39 PM)

Call me a cynic, as well I am. But anyone who considers getting married should also make considerations for getting divorced. Because over half will (I am close on that statistic, right? Some number cruncher can run out and get the specifics). Personally, after going through a divorce that dragged on, I'd have to be oh so certain and prenupped before I did it again.

Only if they love each other.

I think more and more people who are already established before getting married are finally coming to grips with the fact that a prenup is actually a good thing. It clears up any confusion going in and if things ever get to a level where you and your mate are no longer good together it allows the seperation to be that much easier and less hostile.

Especially for people getting married in scene I think not getting papers before the marriage is just absurd and naive.

BeingChewsie -> RE: a question for Masters (12/27/2005 1:01:57 PM)

They should if they want too.

My owner would never marry me.

True. And many have kids, property and debt, things that need to be addressed. It sounds reasonable to me, anyway.

IrishMist -> RE: a question for Masters (12/27/2005 1:04:33 PM)

Hmmm, good question though. Since I married before becoming a slave to my Master/husband ( though that was always his intention ), the love was already there; my slavery was just a natural occurance for me.

But, to become a slave for another, and then wish to marry him...

I suppose it really comes down to how each individual would view the relationship. Some take a Master/slave relationship to mean something other than an emotional one...while for others, there must be emotions involved for the relationship to develop.

If the two wish to marry, then by all means, do so, if it is right for you.
If not, then don't worry about it. As long as you are both happy in your chosen relationship, that is all that matters.

I would be more inclined to follow this in agreement. I don't think a Master and slave should marry...but my reasons are that I would think it changes the relationship from that of Master/slave to that of husband/wife, which in my eyes, are two different things . A Master/slave relationship is not one of equality, whereas a husband/wife relationship is.

Just my two cents though.
