Ouch. This is turning out to be an awuful week for people who were major influences on me. First Forrest J. Ackerman passes away, and now Bettie in ICU... and people wonder why I hate the holidays! Does anyone have information on where to send cards, or well wishing email?

God bless Betty Page. She's had a complicated & fascinating life & I hope she has many happy healthy years left. As for Uncle Forry, I'm glad to have met him & visited the Ackermansion twice in the past 13 years- having thought as a kid reading FMoF & Vampirella that I'd never actually get the chance. Tho he was totally atheistic, here's hoping to a Surprising & Happy Reunion with his beloved wife Wendayne & his pantheon of idols & friends, the Chaneys, Karloff, Lugosi, Lorre, Price, Cushing etc. God be good to him & Light perpetual shine upon him. From all reports, Prince Sirkis took him quite peacefully.
