i want my boyfriend tied to a pole with his hands behind his back. but that's not possible with the limitations of our bedroom. the usual standing position we use is to attach wrist cuffs to supports hanging from the ceiling beams. i had the idea of attaching a spreader bar to one of the supports, hanging down in some way so that it was at his level. then i'd attach his collar to the top of the bar and his hands to the bottom. i'm not sure what to use to lower the bar to that height besides rope but my knot tying...let's just say i was never a boyscout.

You could upside-down "T" 2 spreader bars and use chain and carbiners to attach them.

If you take a hollow pole and you are good with tools. A steel O-ring, attaching it to the pole, a small rod through a hole in the bottom and another about waist height. The bottom rod would give them some place to support the feet. The rod at waist height would give you some place to tie the hands. By using a wood pulley, 4in diameter, 2in thick, attaching a chain to the O-ring, through the pulley and then to a small winch with a large sprocket and a smaller sprocket, a lock key. You would effectively have a winch assembly. Whereby you could effectively tie anyone to the pole, while they are laying down, then draw them up to the ceiling.
If you want them to remain stationary (not able to swing), attach an O-ring to below the foot support and an anchor ring to the floor, so a chain can be attached.
Not that costly of a setup either.

I read the replies and they seem pretty straight forward. I would use a panic snap at each end, should something happen and he is unable to assist his collar could pull on his neck. With panic snaps the very weight of him helps you get him out.

I would also consider making a pole from a thick PVC pipe that can reach from the supports you have to the floor. A square of plywood with a flange attached can hold it when he stands on the bottom and the pole can be attached to the supports you already have in place. I would still use panic snaps for anything that attaches to a collar.

edited to add... the PVC can be made in two or three pieces with bolts through each joint to secure it. Hmmm now looking at my play room....
