Pelosinomics: Bankruptcy Is Not An Option

Congress needs to do their damn job and recommend a good bankruptcy lawyer to the Big Three.  If they won't do that, perhaps they can recess indefinitely and bring the government to a screeching halt (that alone would qualify as economic stimulus).

To borrow from Cromwell:
"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"

yeah she is a disappointment.

The states should secede.   The new world order is centralized planning, the same top heavy grid that collapsed the Soviet Union.

I support states rights, self determination, and government by CONSENT.   Not by shadow forces for the Brittish Empire.

CL this new site is even worse than the "authority" cited yesterday.  I do not like Pelosi but I  am not going to cast stones based on a diatribe from a site that doesn't even try to paraphase what she said; much less a site that is the Red State Gazette. I guess Pat Buchanan convinced me as to the outcome when he said that if the republicans do not stop playing politics with the economy that when the economy goes into depression it will spell the end of the republican party.  Do I necessarily feel that there should be a bailout.  No.  I currently think we should get the money back from the banks and do what you have advocated---nothing.

It's not authority, it's advocacy.

Watching Congress hand over billion after billion after billion with no oversight, no accountability--hell, without so much as a fucking IOU that I can see--is beyond infuriating.

Screw whether they are Democrat or Republican.....if they are in Congress they are the problem, and the whole sorry lot of them needs to go.

The link included was unfortunately not much more than one long page of Democrat bashing.... Not all that enlightening I'll say.

Dunno what to add to what you're saying, CL, except to add some vehemence.

I was and am astounded that anybody in Congress would hand over anything to the maniacs in the Executive Branch, and would love to see Paulson impeached or indicted for fraud.  He's clearly lied about his intentions, and has not provided the accountability he's tasked with.  I agree that neither the Congress nor anyone in the Executive Branch currently involved with this mess has any auditing experience - bring on the GAO!  If you're not competent to do your job, turn to someone who is!

I believe I am becoming clinically depressed watching the politicians destroy this country more each day.  I am also noticing others with even shorter tempers than me if that is possible.  Whether you are liberal or conservative, you have been let down by your leaders.  And, there appears nothing anyone can do about it.  Paulson should be executed on the White House Lawn but obviously that will not happen.  He will retire next month a billionaire. My wife came home Friday crying. She finally told me what was bothering her:  "Everyone is so sad."  I think I will give her a call.
