I do know a couple people who went from being a sub to a Dom. When they decided upon doing this, they got a lot of negative feedback from people and ridicule. One that I know did it anyways, and has remained a Dom.
If this is something that you feel drawn too then explore it. Be prepared to be flamed by people, it is what some do best. Be true to yourself.
I was not into BDSM prior to my relationship. Most of my friends told me I was crazy because there was nothing submissive about me, but a few thought it would be worth while to explore. I so happy that i didn't listen to the nay sayers.
