ORIGINAL: AquaticSub ~Fast Reply~ Glad to see that I'm not the only person! It's amazing though - I think I've encountered one person who had heard of it and recently someone I was chatting with didn't really believe me. They wanted me to know the behind it and I was just kinda "Erm... I get welts... My body doesn't like the cold and has an allergic reaction to it. I dunno... ". Aquatic, I totally believe you and don't want to make light of your condition. It's just that, after having come back inside only moments ago, from single digit temps and wind chill at I-don't-want-to-know, I am having visions of being diagnosed. My doctor "Okay LeeAnn, here's the problem. You are allergic to the cold. You must immediately move to a warm tropical local.....like Belize. Of course since this is a severe medical condition your health insurance will pay for the treatment. Plane tickets, housing, and of course, since you would sink into a depression without them, relocating alllll your furry babies with you AND regular visits from family! I know this will break your heart, to have to leave Iowa in December. But you must go for your health........" Le'sigh............ On a more serious note. One thing I have found, like many women my age, that I am way more prone to overheating. This year, baling hay, I got overheated, felt like my head was on fire and going to explode, got shaky and sick to my stomach. I just cannot take the heat like I used to and that really sucks. My lifestyle has always been outdoors and with our summers, I have to be really careful now.
