I recently meet someone, how is not in the lifestyle but he is an amazing and very sweet man. We are slowly moving forward, however; this weekend it took a strange turn. I discovered that he not only knows my ex, but they are friends and co-workers. I am kind of confused by it all but I am trying hard not to let it bother me to the point where it ruins the possiblities (if that makes sense). How would you react? Would it bother you or make you uncomfy? Why or why not?

You know full well he is going to tell ex everything. Your ex is going to be giving him suggestions on what to do to you. He is going to tell your ex what happened when he did. That could develope into a little game playing by you.  If this is just a minor fling go for it.

Could take things slow and easy with this new fella. I suppose much depends on how amicable you are with your ex. Granted I'd probably feel a mite uncomfortable yet if this new guy is smart enough to realize that your ex isn't part his friendship with you then the uncomfortableness should be eased.

I would be wondering if the meeting this guy had a bit more to it than just meeting someone.  Just because he knows your ex and works with him doesn't mean anything, but I would be making sure of that.  It depends on the ex a lot.  How long were you together and what is his opinion of you and would he tell someone about you so that that someone had a better chance of 'gettin some'.  I was a bartender and I heard many men doing the passing a chick around or telling each other who puts out.

If the new guy seems sincere... go for it... but he wouldn't be gettin any action from me until I knew for sure there wasn't a connection.  Even if there isn't one... you will wonder... so make sure you are honest with yourself and you are comfortable before you get into a heated moment you might be sorry for later.  Good luck!

My ex was suprised when he realized who it was so was the "new guy" to find out who my ex was. We live in a fairly small town the company they work for is huge. My ex and I are best friends and raising 2 kids together still on great terms I guess I am just weirded out by the possible locker room talk between them. lol In some ways I guess it is good that they are friends since my ex is still and active part in my life. I dont know maybe I am just worrying about nothing. lol

I would doubt my best friend would discuss me with someone else, so it sounds like you met a nice guy who is interested and no big deal.  I can imagine some horrific thoughts here or there...lol... but if you can trust your ex to be nice... I wouldn't let those thoughts manifest too much.
