This action has been mentioned a number of times on talk shows in the Philly area. Personally, I think it's the wrong tact, taking a day off for a political event and possibly resulting in other workers taking up the slack or, in the case of some restaurants, maybe having to close because of the lack of service people. Sure it might get attention, but at a time when people are losing jobs, not showing up for work because of sexual orientation doesn't seem to smart an idea to me. Have a march on the weekends and the press would be there, and other people would not have their jobs impacted. Bottom line, I doubt this will be a successful tactic today and it may fan the flames of resentment from many in the str8 community.
