On the "Odd Couple" scale of housekeeping, where Felix Unger is a 10 and Oscar Madison is a 1, where do you fall? The VAST majority of the Doms I have been in contact with have been neat freaks! Is that a typical trait for Doms? [:D]

Well since I don't know who they are and who's a 10 and who's a 1 I will say I am a 1. Depends on my mood and what's going on in my life at the time. If I get on a cleaning kick, I can be a 10. I drive myself nuts. For that reason, I try to stay at a managable 4 to 5, lol.

it depends on what it is...my bedspread can't have even the tiniest wrinkle in it, the couch cushions and pillows have to be just so, and when i vacuum, the marks in the carpet have to be evenly spaced and in straight rows. guess that makes me obsessive to a point. on the other hand, i can have a few dishes in the sink and not be bothered by it. all of the doms i've been with have been complete neat-freaks...i'm not sure what it is and i know they aren't all like that but so far in my experience i've seen a trend.

I scored myself an average of 5 as I can be just as much a 1 as I can be a 10. In service I'm closer to a 13. When I'm on a cleaning kick I'll use a mixture of lemon juice and olive oil with a toothpick to clean the threads of screws which attach legs to tables and doors to cupboards. I'm also not the easiest housekeeper to deal with, as I hate routine and a predefined order. I never clean a room the same way twice. I think about three times quicker than I remember so things get put away not where they belong but where they can be best organized based on their current position. The funny thing about most women is that the internal state of her handbag most often matches the internal state of her wardrobe. Stuff gets ironed, put on hangers and shoved in any old how which makes me want to cry. That's unless it seems she keeps a flock of sheep in the bedroom which regularly pass through the wardrobe together with the sheepdog. I admit it, my Moon and rising sign is in Virgo, I have this fetish for harmony, balance, colour coordination, and when you open your wardrobe doors the contents should be as neat and as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of the house. But here I'm talking more of being in service. Me personally I have piles and heaps, all structured, things are clean but slightly cluttered. My desktop is a bombsite. I need clutter, I need that bombsite. It's my personal filing system.

Wow folks! I never thought of myself as a neat freak, but shoot according to you all I kind of am. I have been much more so since moving in with Master and Mistress. I want everything perfect for them. I have to make the beds every day... but you know what? I've always thought that if the bed is made, even a messy room looks somewhat tidy. I used to live in a one room apt and students would come by. I kept the place pretty much spotless because of that. I'm probably around a 7 I suppose. I like things to have a place to live in the house and put away. I don't like to leave any dirty food stuffs out. But dusting and vacuuming? bah! It's just dust and it'll be back tomorrow. Come to think of it, I am planning to mop the floor today. have a great day folks! *tgfka sunshine

on the neatness scale i am an annoying 9...and it is not easy when living with hubby (a 3 on a good day) and the LoudOne .

I am rather OCD about keeping the place clean. My primary slave does the floors which is a great benefit. I do more of the cooking and laundry. The bookshelves and desk have piles of papers but that is very different from having food packages and dirty dishes all over a house. We have problems with ants and mice in these old houses too so keeping everything cleaned up and put away is a necessity.

Ugh, I HATE cleaning. I only do so when I have to, or when I get sick of looking at it. Thankfully, my Dear One doesn't mind cleaning much, and kind of likes doing dishes (he says it's relaxing, not so much of a 'YAY! I get to do dishes!', if he liked it that much, I'd get him to a shrink). In general though, yeah, not very keen on cleaning, aside from laundry, but that's easy. Put it in one box for an hour, switch it to another box for an hour or so, sit around the rest of the time. Yeah, I'm a lazy bastard. However, my bookshelves had BETTER be in order, and dvds, and art supplies. I'm going nuckin futs right now, because I can't find the file I use for sharpening my pencil. It's NOT where I left it, which means it's NOT where it belongs, and that's not even remotely acceptable or amusing to me. So, that led me to say, I'm a '4'
