isn't blagojevich mad because he thinks obama WON'T do anything "special" for him as president?
i dont think it will affect obama too much other than the fact that it's his seat =p and if anyone wants to know if he bought his seat, just check bank records, etc etc etc.

Dear leader is responsible due to his position. The level of responsibility has not been determined. Think of this, Nixon did not break into the Watergate, yet it got him impeached.

Major difference---Nixon wasn't innocent. He went WAY overboard to win in a landslide an election he would have won anyway.

But you guys have fun for the next eight years, one month and 10 ten days. Or maybe get a hobby.

No it isn't CL. What is well documented is the two men's dislike for each other and the fact that Obama has nothing to do with that at all. Quite a stretch. Even for you.

to be honest, dems or pubs, both parties are nothing but organized crime syndicates!  guess what the indictment of Blago is only the beginning folks!....LOL!

Read some history. The beginning began over two hundred years ago.

The IL governor is an egregious case, but hardly a new chapter, let alone the beginning.

And not even close to the worst cases history has witnessed.

AMaster -> RE: Can Obama Escape the Taint of Blagojevich? (12/10/2008 9:30:09 AM)

No, he can't

Musicmystery -> RE: Can Obama Escape the Taint of Blagojevich? (12/10/2008 9:32:56 AM)

He already has.

Next time, consider reading the thread first.

It will at least make you unique.

Funny how two political enemies are now bedfellows according to CL. If you'll look into CL's posts here you'll find that a couple of months back he was complaining the Obama was close with Emil Jones, then majority leader of the state senate. Illinois has had a non functioning government the last several years because the governor and the legislative leaders don't get along.

So now CL would have youbelieve that Obama, an Emil Jones supporter, is somehow friendly with the governor. Which is patently ridiculous.

Then you have the fact that Obama's prefered choice as his replacement, Valerie Jarret, withdrew from consideration rather than play along with the governor.

But somehow this is a scandal equivalent to watergate? please.

the "beginning" of a revolution once the truth is revealed!  the percentage of registered voters NOT pub or dem is growing!  i believe soon both pub & dem will be viewed as criminals and no longer trusted.

bestbabync -> RE: Can Obama Escape the Taint of Blagojevich? (12/10/2008 9:38:01 AM)

there is 196 million registered voters in the US.  28 million are registered non-party/independent.

this fact gives me hope![:D]

"Consorting with known terrorists"

Do you mean like a cetrtain Texas Gov and President who invited the very people who planned 9/11 to the  TX mansion?  You never speak of that

That sure is alot different than being on the same board as someone

Yea, but where is the corruption you speak of???

Taking campaign contributions from foreign nationals.
Doing business with Tony Rezko and helping that crook use government money to build uninhabitable slums.
Consorting with known terrorists.
Getting in bed with Blagojevich himself.

All well documented in even mainstream press, btw.

Correction:  All well discredited in the mainstream press.  But admittedly still screeched about in wingnut blogs.

Geez you are reaching if this is your "evidence" of corruption.

Maybe someone should tell him that Obama already won the election.

Nah.

Are we really going to get four years (or eight years?) of Republican mud-slinging?  Guys, your party is on the run for ideological reasons, not because anyone thinks Democrats are more moral than Republicans.  Throwing crap at Obama isn't going to change the fact that most Americans think you're on the wrong side of the issues.  Whyncha work on, like, an energy policy?
