Okies, campers, one of my Goals (HAHAHA) is to get my photos arranged on my laptop, and on a Site Out There so I can send them and post them easily.  I have a few on Photobucket, but Luddte Hib is less than thrilled.  What do you use, and do you like it?  I have peeps send me Flikr links, and it is easy to navigate.  What do you all think?

Bear in mind---I am the person who went to a wedding six weeks ago and has yet to get the pics onto a computer....  EASE OF USE is paramount.  Thx!

Luddite Hib

flikr is pretty gnarly; i know a few people who use it for craft tutorials and the like, and it's very good

I use photobucket when I want to share pictures at a place that won't let you upload them (here)
I think most photo developing places are set up for sharing and saving pics now, like Walgreens, CVS, Costco, etc.
Costco is a b**** to navigate.
Be sure to use a screen name that is different from your vanilla screen name if you don't want people making connections you'd rather not have them make.

I got a Flickr pro account after photobucket censored several of the pics from Steel's b-day party (bruised butts are a no-no, I guess). I went with the pro account because there is a limit to how many photos you can upload per month on a free account. I love flickr, and the uploader makes putting up pics as easy as "drag n drop"!

I'm about to dive into a similar project myself, and I've been playing around with Google's Picassa site. I haven't played around with it enough to make an honest evaluation, but I mention it as another place to store and share photos.

Thanks!  I have used Picasa only as a way of finding all the pics on the hard drive (FRELLING COMPUTER) and it was interesting.  I might go with Flickr... I don't want to have anything censored.
