From the latest Wall Street Journal - NBC News poll, the two politicians with the highest ratings are Condolezza Rice  for the Republicans and Barak Obama for the Democrats.  Another question was, "Would you be willing to take a 5% paycut at your job to save the jobs of co-workers?"  65% said "yes:" and 28% said "no".
