This is a function of news services going under. In the old days of news, you couldn't publish anything without confirming it with 3 sources. It evolved into 1. Now - if its on the internet - run with it! The National Enquirer has as much credibility as the NY Times, and has actually beaten them on some stories. Why can't the PE just be pissed at a fellow Democrat doing something this stupid? I guess the same reason that the Democratic party in general hasn't. This is 'standard operating procedure' in BOTH parties. It's why there are more 'right' and 'conservatives' being placed in the PE Obama administration than there would have been in an McCain administration.
