sam, that fool mentioned he wanted the seat for himself! we could all have a belly laugh if he did that! i heard someone on the radio today state that they believe Blago might be mentally ill. i don't believe he is mentally ill, not at all! he is conducting business as usual and business as usual is "pay to play"! Blago is just being Blago in everyday politics!

it's Day 3 - he's still governor refusing to resign ...his in-laws (Alderman Dick Mell and family) have distance themselves far away from him ...everyone in the political world are pressuring him to resign ...and late night talk shows are having fun poking jabs at Blago.

did you hear the latest, the state is trying to remove Blago from office based on illness. there is a law on the books stating a person holding public office can be removed based on health reasons.
i do not believe Blago is suffering from mental illness or any other illness. he is a scandrel, a liar, a low life, but not sick!

You need some new laws - like "Committing misconduct in a public office" and "Conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office"

Not only could you get this guy with such laws, you could also trample all over your constitution through it - like just occurred in the UK a couple of weeks back.

Its a win-win for everyone. Including governments that dont want people in public office doing things that might be embarassing to said government; members of the opposition for instance.
