What are you currently reading? Im reading "The Queen of Bedlam" the second in a series by Robert Mc Cammen

"The Intelligent Investor: The Definitive Book On Value Investing", by Benjamin Graham. I want to give myself every advantage I can find as I buy back into this crazy market. I'm also browsing a lot of travel books about California, because I'm taking about a 3-week vacation out there in a couple of months. And, at bedtime, I'm re-reading Wallace Stegner's "Crossing To Safety", for about the 74th time. It's quite possibly my favorite book. Crusty, cantankerous old curmudgeon that he was, Stegner had a unique gift for making you like the human race better while you're reading one of his books. I've never read another author who could pull that off as effortlessly and as consistently as he. "Crossing to Safety" was his last, and (to my "ear") his most affecting novel, even more so than his Pulitzer-winning masterpice "Angle of Repose."

My favorite genre? Contemporary fiction, I suppose. But I read almost anything that can't outrun me. Growing up an only child 10 miles from the nearest town and a mile from the nearest neighbor, books were my first and best friends throughout most of my childhood.

Since I am a one book gal, and I don't like bouncing back and forth between books, my reading for the next month or so will be short stories, fiction stories and finally play writes, asI  finish the course work nessisary to make up the missing credits in english.

My favorite genere would have to be fantasy and fiction, though I am by far not limited to just them.

I have a pile of books I am working my way through.  Right now I am on page 150 of the last of the Twilight series...can't get into it, really.  I'm a fan of Robert Ludlum, Ken Follett, trashy romance novels...

Basically I'm a fiction whore.

I love Robert McCammon.  "Mystery Walk" and "Boy's Life" are two of my favorite books.

For pleasure, rereading Prince of Fire, by Daniel Silva.  Haven't got to the library lately.  For info, The Medical Mafia, don't make me go look for the author.  For school, Carlos Castaneda - Teachings of Don Jaun and Michael Harners Way of the Shaman.  And a book i am editing.  I don't have as much time to read as i used to, or would like.  My library (over 1k books) is in storage where i will be going for Christmas.  I will bring back a few crates ;;-)) of old faves.

Genre - Sci-fi and fantasy, crime/detective, contemporary fiction,  not in any particular order.

I just read "The Chase" by Clive Cussler.  A good read, set around the early 1900's, trains, a nasty bank robber, a handsome detective and the San Francisco earthquake.  Antique car buffs (as Cussler is) will like it.

So, I'm on a Clive Cussler kick at the moment, I just bought a few more at the wonderful local used book store that we have here.

I read anything by these authors: Amy Tam, Charlane Harris, Robert B. Parker, Laurel K. Hamilton, Dominick Dunne, Carl Hiasson, and Lawrence Sanders.

I love fiction, scifi, fantasy.

BIG fan of James Patterson (love the MAximum Ride books, and Alex Cross goes without saying), JOnathon Kellerman, NOra Roberts, Diana Gabaldon..

god, the list is endless....

I'm rereading the Vampire Chronicles. I know, how low-brow of me. You can say what you want about Anne Rice (and I'm not a fan of the beauty series) but she evokes emotion incredibly well and her writing flows and is sensual. I'm also reading the .. it's called something like... the true account of the infamous lady rochford. It's about Jane Boleyn and so far it's wildly opinionated in the guise of being historically accurate. still entertaining, though. Yupyup

Right now I am reading Bitter Sweets by GA McKevett. A couple of my favorites are Joan Hess, Susan Grafton and Janet Evanovich.

I have no favorite genre; I will read just about anything...fiction, non-fiction, self-help, technical....if it's readable, I will read it.

I also, will read almost anything that is well written. However, I've been going through a bit of a dry spell lately and haven't got even one book going. Which is really very odd....

The last few years I've mostly read non fiction. Various writings on different religiouns, philosophical stuff, etc.
