My Master/Daddy is a very professional man whom ocasionally has to have fru fru dinner parties for His clients (which I cannot stand b/c i don't care for snooty people and would rather be around our normal friends) Anyway we have been trying to figure out a way that i can discretley wear His collar during these events in which a choker of any type would be deemed inappropriate. I suggested a ring that has His initials engraved on it or something like that if anyone has any suggestions i would be very greatful as it would help us out a great deal. and please do not suggest a belled anklet because He feels that looks tacky and the sound drives our dogs nuts lol.

I wore a diamond choker 24/7 when I was Collared to my last partner.  No-one batted an eyelid!  :)

what about a waist chain or a simple wrist or ankle bracelette?  hell, what about earrings or a certain color of nail polish?  you can make it whatever you want and what you choose will take on the meaning you want for it.

Get an eternity collar, or one from Vad Farkas. Vad's work is fabulous- my slave and I are very happy with it. Get a large enough circumference so that the collar is not sitting right up on your neck like a choker, but down around your collarbones like a necklace.

Get an assortment of necklaces and wear whichever one matches the outfit. I mainly wear a silver necklace with a heart pendant. If I need something dressier, then he's fine with me not wearing that for the evening.

You need not be elaborate, unless you choose to be.  I have employed a piece of masking tape with "Property of Master" hand-written on it, and placed in her panties.  The effect on the way she felt knowing it was there could not have been greater had it been spelled out in diamonds set into gold.

I want to laugh here and crack a "Hey Big Spender" joke, but I actually think that's a really cool story.

To the OP, any piece of jewelry, since it sounds as though that's what you want, will do.  Just make it what you want it to be, and you can even write a little collaring ceremony that you do right before the "fru fru" dinner takes place.

I was just at K-mart today and sterling silver is 70% off.

A collar can be anything, but yes, no one would ever look askance at something from Tiffany's, or the Cartier Love collection.

Master T has a collar for me that looks like a necklace...it is a chain with a little charm that is actually a lock...so with the exception of when family is here (he really gets worried) I wear it all the time.  It goes with my outfits and it can be worn while I am at work...no questions asked.

I've seen collar sleeves like these that work when you want to be discrete.  http://www.ringofsteel.net/sleeves.html

I like discrete collars for most public areas including family. Why cause debate and risk persecution unless or untill it suits you. Sometimes a hand made necklace with a leather thong tied about her throat by me is all that is needed. There are toimes and especially at Munches and playmnights etc is where I want a full blown hand carved leather, chain maile, or steel collar locked about her neck labled with her name and ownership details..

Just a thought here, another system which I have used and several of my friends use in the UK when a sub/slave has to mingle with toe social elite is a broach or a pendant which has a specific design (definitely not blatant) but may refer to medieval arms etc as a public symbol of his or her bondage. The point is if others involved with BDSM are knowledgeable of the meaning they will respect it just as they do a full collar. It is my intent later to have pendant, cameo broach (used in a black velvet choker) and bracelet with the design showing the slave brand I use. Fancy perhaps but I love elegance.

My princess just knitted with silver wire and beads a set of bracelets and a wonderful choker style necklace.  She donated a custom set of them to our group's annual fundraiser auction.  They were the most bid on item.  Things like this can be worn as a necklace or bracelet by itself even in everyday settings.  A simple combination of a bracelet and the necklace look great even with an evening gown (she wore hers to the San Francisco Ballet this weekend).  And in a safe setting, like a munch or a holiday dinner the whole set could be worn.

(edited to say, click on the highlighted word and you should see an album with two images)

lol, when i first met my boyfriend he asked if i would wear a collar. i said only if it was from tiffany.

jewelry functions pretty much the same way collars do. wedding rings are the ultimate collars because the gov is involved in a legally binding way. giving someone a piece of jewelry is a token and a declaration of a relationship (or ownership). as long as it doesn't need to be bondage functional, go with any kind of jewelry that suits your fancy.

The legal Function of a wedding ring, no matter what your faith, is only valid if you are planning getting married but has no validity if for what ever reason, you do not intend to wed (probably because one of you is married. This i may say has nothing to do with the value you both place in a collar or some other item used in place of one.
