My Master/Daddy is a very professional man whom ocasionally has to have fru fru dinner parties for His clients (which I cannot stand b/c i don't care for snooty people and would rather be around our normal friends) Anyway we have been trying to figure out a way that i can discretley wear His collar during these events in which a choker of any type would be deemed inappropriate. I suggested a ring that has His initials engraved on it or something like that if anyone has any suggestions i would be very greatful as it would help us out a great deal. and please do not suggest a belled anklet because He feels that looks tacky and the sound drives our dogs nuts lol.

I am a grumpy old man.

You mean discreet collars, i.e. collars that are unobtrusive.

You (presumably) do not mean discrete collars, i.e. collars that are separate, one from another.

I know your appalling grammar and spelling shouldn't bother me. But it does; sorry.

It's not noteworthy until they cluelessly mistaken "dominant" for "dominate", you'd be surprised how many people do not know the difference.

uh yeah, the whole being married thing is what makes it a wedding ring...

Ahh excelent, you were sucessful in getti ng the point. Now point two backs onto this in that I see with regular monotomy thar collars are like wedding rings. One may infer two things from this:
  1. The comentator is most probably Christian oir living in a Christian Society which generally recognises marriage as being the only viable relationship long term
  2. That a good number of girls looking for a collar are also looking for a wedding ring
I submut therefor, that such thinking only gives the appearance of limiting collars being offered. I would submit that there are a large number of good folk who do not believe in the Christian version of marriage such as Pagans of all kinds who look at in a number of cases handfastings lasting a minimum year and a day. To thiws add those Dominans who are happily married and wikth their partner agreeing wish to collar a sub/slave (in muy case my wife and I are both dominant) so neither of us are interested in hunters of wedding bands. This alone limitsour choices by natural selection.

I just got my collar from my Master very recently (we still define ourselves and being a Dominant/submissive couple but not Master/slave, but had had discussions about feeling like it was time to have some kind of wearable item that could represent our dynamic and just be symbolic to us), and it was humorous because he had mentioned that a lot of the traditional collars or cuffs just didn't seem quite appropriate to describe our dynamic, but that he was sure we'd find something that would and it would just be a matter of finding something that felt right for both of us (and obviously I did want it to be something that ideally I wouldn't have to remove for just about any occasion). New years eve day we were at my mother's house to pick up some things and I was looking through this box and all of a sudden found this necklace that I remembered was mine but that I had never really done anything with, and simply saying "I forgot I had this! I love this!", and he put it on me, and I haven't taken it off since, and for us it's my collar.
It's a silver link-chain choker necklace that latches in the front and has a silver heart pendant hanging down. What I really love about it is that to people in the community it's fairly apparent by the style and whatnot that it's representative of a collar, but I've also seen this style of necklace worn by many people as just a vanilla fashion thing, especially with the heart pendant, so there haven't been any times yet where I've had to take it off going into vanilla society.
When it comes down to it I don't think it matters if you wear a leather dog collar, a steel locking collar, a ring, an anklet, a special tattoo or brand, a long simple necklace....it's a matter of the symbolism and meaning it holds for you and your Master :)
Best of luck :)

Rover try putting a diamond in her panties and the effect will be greater.

Thinking outside the box (or in this case inside the box), why not wear a remote butterfly? These are small remote control vibrators that the sub positions on her clitoris. The Dom has a lttle battery operated radio transmitter.

I used to have my girl wear her's to the movies with me. With another couple in the adjacent seats no one suspected. Great fun also in restaurants.

It is very lovely and very discreet

This is the site MasterK and I selected his collar from, and I will be very proud to wear it anywhere. It looks just like a necklace, but will be a screw down chain.

Godsofold -> RE: discrete collars (1/10/2009 3:30:15 PM)

I picked up a Non piercing clit clip for my wife, pretty discreet

Petruchio -> RE: discrete collars (1/14/2009 9:51:31 PM)

I assume you mean 'discreet'.

Where did the notion arrive that chokers are inappropriate? Chokers can be the classiest of necklaces although some can be extremely expensive. A girlfriend had an antique choker that I loved.

this is where W/we are going to order my collar from. When the time comes.... *excited squeaks*. It is the most beautiful site W/we could find. Some of the products are more obvious with d or o rings and padlocks and others just look like beautiful chokers- but are still suggestive enough of collars to make someone who is in the know aware. This may solve your problem as you can find something to wear 24/7 that can work in both vanilla and BDSM enviroments.

nytefye -> RE: discrete collars (1/16/2009 9:39:51 AM)

the choker that you see on my picture is/was my collar I wore it every day... no one batted an eye.  It is hand made however so i can't tell anyone where to get one.  But something like that is very discrete

(sorry for my bad grammar for those it offends... but i have a hangover so meh)

DrSysAdmin -> RE: discrete collars (1/16/2009 12:49:25 PM)

I understand the desire to wear a token of your commitment - but perhaps you and your One should sit and consider - does not the Collar that has true meaning reside around your heart, soul  and mind? If so - you wear it at all times regardless.

Still - good luck on your search for something appropriate.

ArthurMasters -> RE: discrete collars (1/17/2009 2:23:02 AM)

Fetjeweller also does nice silver 'story-of-O' slave rings. Less obvious than a collar, and unobtrusive, but anyone on the scene would recognise what it meant.

nafakcha -> RE: discrete collars (1/17/2009 4:20:47 AM)

I personally like the style of collars here:

http://www.bondagecollars.com/collar.htm

Many of the other styles I like use metals that would be unsafe for me to wear given my profession.
