Everyone has a unique personal smell. It's not a fetish of mine, but I do know I'm not going to find someone attractive unless xhe smells good. It's not a function of perfumes, either, though finding someone who knows what scents complement and enhance their own is a good sign for their general perceptiveness and emotional health. I can sort my t-shirts and my husband's t-shirts (we actually wear the same size, and I often buy simple men's tees for layering purposes in winter) by scent, even right after they've been laundered, even when the detergent is perfumed, hot water is used, etc. But I'm sensitive like that. And I admit that when I am feeling emotionally fragile and he has to go to work, I wear his t-shirts so I am wrapped in his smell, which is calming and steadying to me.
