What was thrown could have been anything from a grenade to anthrax..pretty sloppy guarding if you ask me. Besides, if they make you take off your shoes at airports, why not to view the president at such close range? lol.

credentials or not, unlike the secret service to not do some 'profiling' of some kind first..why not, they do it in our own countries? Airports even have 'aura' machines coming, didn't they even have a psychic on hand? lol It looked pretty fake, the whole scene was like a get smart episode and this way his goodbye party from Control saying adios to their biggest idiot agent '86 for Bush family shooo-off.
