The were a gift and they are e-books.
Girl has them because a friend thought girl might be interested.
Right now Orion, girl is not the best friend of men and pretty much any philosophy that would have woman as subordinate, might be met with teeth and claws.

Then that would be something you need to address in yourself. We all have our crosses to bear, but when we move with them they should not strike others. Rather than react to something from just emotion, I would recommend a more balanced approach. If you do ever have any questions, let me know. I can provide quote, including book and page, that supports that Gorean Philosophy is based upon merit, not just upon gender. This knowledge pisses off the chest thumpers, such as in second life and those that use just the customs to drape their M/s relationships in, but still claim to be Gorean.

I do hope that things get better with you.

Live well,
Orion

Only if you were not male Orion.

Cernunnous, girl would follow in an instant and you are not him. Oh wait, girl does already as he is the masculine of the Goddess. Oh well tough luck for you Orion [:)]

Hi Marc,

While you write some thoughtful replies on the topic, and while normally I say to each his/her own and move on, I can't help but think when people are directly and negatively affected by the belief of another, it is very easy and even natural to form biases against that belief.

While I believe some folks incorporate supremacy of various natures into their relationships, it is my belief that those who truly believe in the supremacy of (sex, race, creed, etc.) are severely misguided.  Do you disagree?

Hi NuevaVida,

What belief system (or lack thereof) has not negatively affected someone, somewhere, somehow? That said, I would be morbidly interested to know the list of terrible human causalities the doctrine of Female Supremacy is directly responsible for.

Either way, I say allow all ways of life into the marketplace of ideas, and let that marketplace sort out what thrives and what does not. Let those who feel a calling to any one way abide by it. Who am I to judge if certain individuals are "misguided" for choosing to live under the mantle of a sex supremacy doctrine? So long as they are not killing people or attempting to limit my civil liberties, I don't feel inclined to go out of my way to piss on their gate or fix their thinking. Thus far, I have yet to see any black helicopters bearing female insignias on the horizon.

No list resulting from said doctrine, but people will have biases against certain doctrines based on their experiences - FS or something else.

Ah but a belief system foisted upon another, while perhaps not killing humans, animals or liberties, is a form of pissing on one's gate, as you put it. ;)

But I do agree with you about going out of one's way to upset another's way of thinking. While I've only perused this thread I don't think I saw that here. Words on a screen is all - an exchange of opinions.

Sounds like a really scary Wonder Woman episode!

Just as openly bashing that belief system is, no matter how "gently" one may do so in the professed spirit of sharing opinions. And I'm certain I needn't point out for a third time that I do not support foisting anything on anyone. Well, unless they wish it, of course.

Tha's right!   Didn't you know as proper ladies we are to sit quietly in the corner and wait  to be chosen, and ruled over by everyone, especially if the ruler posesses a penis?    Our kink is wrong, wrong, wrong!     I hope that makes the OP happy now. [sm=coffee.gif]   M

But....well...let's put it this way.  Woman states her sex is superior to man and all man should bow down before all woman.  Woman is now talking about my father, brothers, friends, dominant partner...and I find that insulting to insinuate that these men in my life should be inferior to her species.  I see it no different than openly criticizing the FS for her belief system.

To play fair, I would feel the same about Man saying all womankind should bow before them.  I would feel the same about any particular religion stating the same (why I am so against christianity these days), or any race, and so on.

I just can't personally support a sweeping "I'm better than you" attitude, no matter who it's attributed to.  This particular thread is about FS.  Were it about a different topic, I would likely be making the same claim.

Not sure what you mean here. I offered assistance if you ever wished to ask a question. That sure is some bigotry you got going on there, but with this crowd at least it is an accepted bigotry, even if it also means an accepted hypocricy.

I truly wonder (though I believe that no one gender is completely superior--it comes dowm to a task issue IMHO)--how a "submissive" with that kind of post expects to land a Domina?? I mean in My home I reign supreme--NO ifs ands or "butts".

IrishMist -> RE: Female Supremacy: A Manifesto (12/17/2008 5:04:20 AM)

Female supremacy...male supremacy....

it all gets thrown into the same trash can as far as I am concerned

a waste of fucking energy to my thinking.

Have you tried using Lysol with your scrubbing brush? If that doesn’t work, perhaps lacer surgery might weed out the lil bugger…..  [;)]

Nicely stated, nv.  I have no problem with male supremacists, female supremacists, whatever-supremacists as long as they keep their belief to themselves and those in their sphere that agree.  The minute a FS tells me that I am inferior and should bow down not only to them but all women or the minute a male supremacist tells my female ums or my submissive that all women are inferior and should bow down to all men, is the minute I have a problem.

If a woman tells me she is superior to me by virtue of her sex, the burden of proof is upon her. I don't have to buy it, and I don't spend my time nursing a grudge over her claims—unless it has become something personal, of course.

To carry on with your religious analogy, if we were to change the subject of this thread to Christianity: A Manifesto, I would feel the same way, and despite my secular ideals, will defend someone's right to believe what they want and express it. After all, unless it is harming me, how is it harming me? I realize I may be the minority in this sentiment, but I think we need to chill and consider more than a few glass houses in all our lives.

OttersSwim -> RE: Female Supremacy: A Manifesto (12/17/2008 9:14:21 AM)

On a more serious note...I offer two paraphrased quotes of relevance to this discussion courtesy of Thomas Jefferson and Oliver Wendall Holmes:
It neither picks my pocket, nor breaks my leg...

Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins...
Personally, I think the whole idea of supremacy of either sex is bunk, but someone else believing in it does nothing to harm me...as long as they don't try to push that ideal on me, why do I care?
