We are a part of a community made up of people who are different in very specific ways.  Is it possible for us to be accepting of others, who are if nothing else, similar to us because they are different?

I personally am coming to the conclusion that we really aren't all that different to other people, we just like to think we are. You only have to look at threads like 'the most unusual turn on's' to see how run of the mill and normal the answers actually are. I was really looking forward to reading that thread, thought i'd find some juicy freaky turn ons, boy was i disappointed! Most of them i have heard from nilla friends.

The problem of labels and judgement only arise when someone REALLY is different and lets be honest there are few here that really are. There is whether we like it or not a 'norm' on here for what is acceptable and what is not. It occurs in every walk of life and we will never change that. It amazes me that we / some here believe we should be any less judgemental than nillas are, train drivers are, teachers etc are. Why, why would be different when really we are not any different than anyone else?

We spend far too much talking about eqauality and all that stuff that we forget to notice that we are all differant. Im not going to say no labels apply to me because well thats crap basically. We do all fit into boxes and we are all put into boxes by other people. The thing is with many labels what they mean isnt set in stone. Being a female for example isnt simply a case of what sex you are its all about what we become through learning and if we were to ask differant people would think of differant things in regards to that label.

I do have labels and the ones I apply to myself are ones that mean something specific to me. What other people label me doesnt bother me so much.

Being 'kinky' or however you want to term it isnt differant from vanilla, people struggle with that as thouhg saying you are a submissive somehow makes you wiser. it doesnt. Everything we are and everything we do happens for many differant psycho-social reasons and im pretty sure that most people dont want to look at where lots of them come from they use flowery language to describe themselves without realising at the end of the day it matters not one bit.

What matters is being true to yourself in whatever that is,  its not about being better than anyone else. Its not an elite club that you have to qualify to enter. Its about the fact that you idenitfy with something, in your own way, for your own reasons. What other people see it as being really doesnt matter. I dont care what you think a true Dom is becuase its probably not what I think a true Dom is so who really cares. The only reason why i like questions like that is i love peoples mentalities, i love how people justify things in a way they find appropriate to whatever sub-group they are a part of.

I think people change depending on what day of the month it is or time of year or where they are at   sometimes not thinking out side the box is not a bad thing it keeps things in a general perspective for focus and growth. why would  want to be eractic to the  point of craziness  thats kinda of stupid   so i kinda understand where the other side comes from  you can not think that way in buisness and make millions you have to fallow some kinda of guide lines to be sucessful just the way it is

...I'm not suggesting that we all sit around the campfire singing Kumbaya.  I am suggesting that people who are capable of thinking outside of the box actually try to do it.

Kinky Karaoke !!  (why didnt *I* think of that??)

I like labels.  They keep me from ending up with a nasty can of english peas rather than a yummy can of niblet corns.

And now I've got an image of KnightofMists roasting marshmallows and singing karaoke in those tight leather britches.

i make up my own labels that suit me ...that i see myself as a person.

i don't care if someone else doesn't see me as a twue or wreal submissive/Owner - that's their own opinion.  in Daddy's eyes, i'm a true submissive ...a real daughter. in my pet's eyes, i'm his Owner and fiance.

ok, I have to know what "make wonderous sounds" means.

have you ever heard a Cat in Heat and in Pain all it one...... well that doesn't even come close to the wonderous sounds I can make!!!!!

good gods.  that reminds me of a conversation i had with miss satan once upon a time...she came into the kitchen and as we were talking, she asked me "wait...what is that SOUND??"

i listened and said "oh....wolf's singing in the shower".  she looked astonished and i added "so now you know why you've NEVER heard him singing, right?"

it was NOT pretty.  still love the guy but DAYUM he cant sing.
