Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul ,  Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

  • Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

  • Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans:  2,427,000

  • Population of  counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

  • Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

  • Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

  • Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

  • Olson believes the United States   is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to USA in five years!!

This is a re-use of an old lie circulated by email after the 2000 election. It was debunked by snopes.com back then and considering that the same quotes are used and Hamline U is still mis-spelled as Hemline it is clear that this is an unusually clumsy attempt at spreading disinformation.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul ,  Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

  • Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
  • 19 plus 29 equals 48...I could have sworn there were 50 states
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans:  2,427,000
  • 580,000 plus 2,427,000 equals 3,007,000...the U.S is 3,794,083 sq mi

  • Population of  counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
  • 127 million plus 143 million is 260 million...the U.S. population is
    305,903,351

  • Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
  • How did he decipher this?

  • Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
  • ROFLMO

  • Olson believes the United States   is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

Perhaps you might tell us just which law you are refering to.
How do you equate undocumented laborer with criminal invader?  Have you writen your own dictionary?  The term criminal invader might well apply to the anglos who took by force half of the country of Mexico.  But then that was then and this is now...right?

Seriously???

Facts about this election? No; sorry.

Please see this: Snopes debunked this the first time it made it's rounds after the 2000 election: The Fall Of The Athenian Republic

And please note that this is one of the rare times those rabid, hate-filled, self-serving fear-mongers actually recycle: they didn't even bother to update the stats or the quotes.

In case Snopes is not objective enough for you, this was published Wednesday, November 15, 2006 on Liberals Are Always Whining: A Conservative Mandate At Last

quote:

Population of counties won by: Gore: 127 million; Bush: 143 million
Square miles of land won by: Gore: 580,000; Bush: 2,427,000
States won by: Gore: 19; Bush: 29
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Gore: 13.2;
Bush: 2.1...

...Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having
reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

Pathetic.

Edited to add: why highlight/stress Minnesota?

I don't believe they have been debunked here.

However I do not believe that these figures tell the truth. First of all not everybody voted. Second of all but not lesser by any means, is the use of tools known as inclusion and exclusion

Note that even if one day the dubunkers are debunked, the original numbers really do not prove much of anything, even if 100% true. All they really prove at best is that there are different demographics and population densities in the contiguous US. I think we know that already.

So the tools of selective inclusion also include choosing which numbers to compare to which other numbers in the first place. They don't even begin to prove that anyone was unduly elected, even though they presented it as such, or it seems so.

I am also skeptical of the so called "reliable" sources for the same reason.
