i see that as well, but i thought it was a product of the drugs i experimented with in highschool! And, i am serious, not trying to be funny.

Now, there is something called migraines with aura, which i suffer from, and i know this isn't what the op, or any of you, are referring to here but this just came to mind when i read the word aura. I have suffered from this for about seven years now, and it still scares the daylight out of me each time it happens, thank God it only happens a couple of times a year! i can be in the grocery store, or at home, or drivingmy car, and all of a sudden my vision gets distorted, i see colors, lights, zig zags, all sorts of shit, and this lasts for 30 minutes untilit covers my entire vision and all i see our these glowing images of lights and colors. The doctor says this is migraine with aura. Again, i know this isn't what you all are talking about but thought i'd share it with you anyhow : )

i do see a glowing trail sometimes, not as much anymore, for instance when a person moves their arms, or body, but this doesn't really happen anymore. As far as sensing peoples energy, some of us are much more perceptive than others, i pretty much figure people out right off the bat, then of course there are those that will surprise you. Also, when i think of someone a lot,or dream of them, even if it's a person i haven't seen in years, somehow i will run into them that same day, this happens to me all the time, it freaks me out lol.

I do believe in peoples energy, i have known people that after just spending five minutes with them you feel drained! like they suck the energy right out of you! lol yet others give you this sense of peace. Could just be the difference between a positive person and a negative person...shrugs.

Taggard!!!! Happy New Year! How the hell are ya?

To the O.P. - everyone can see auras (even if they don't know it). It's teachable.

I know what you mean sweetwhisper about the draining. An old friend of mine would get quite upset if she brought a guy over and later we'd talk about him, and I'd say I don't like him. She'd say why? I'd say I don't trust him. I can't read that deeply usually once in a while i can tell more about the person than they can tell me.
My friends get shocked when I do this. Some things I'll mention and they never told me about it.
However do you ever get a block? Like you try to read someone and you just can't.
Just my.02 cents in.

LadyJC,

Well, we seem to be running into eachother on these threads today! lol Happy New Years!

I have always been a "good judge of character", it sometimes can even be annoying since i can meet someone that everyone thinks is wonderful yet i KNOW they are full of shit, even when no one around me can see it! It can be very frustrating because immediately others might see it as me being negative or what have you.

My sister, which for the record i can't stand (and the feeling is mutual) is probably the worst judge of character i know! She is 10 yrs older than me, 9 to be exact but i like to add that extra year in *grins*, she is a bright woman, no doubt, very auto sufficient, believes she is better than the rest of us type, but all through my life she would go out with, or marry even, men that were scum bags, and yet she would not see the signs, even when they were sooooooo clear to me (or anyone else) same with her friends, she'd meet a girl, tell me how much i would like her, how nice she way etc, i'd meet her friend and within the first 5 minutes of talking to them i could clearly see their major faults, and i know everyone has flaws, but i am talking about back stabbing manipulative no good people here, which proved to be all i had said to be eventually...yet, she would take it as me being anti-social .... it just amazes me to see people with such lack of judgement, or perception!

It can be a blessing or a curse, as sometimes i do believe i over analyze people way too much and it definitely impacts my social life! lol

Sometimes yup, and smell. Nice to know it's not a unique experience :)

Nope, I don't see or smell or taste or feel auras.

I do feel like I can intuitively sense or feel things about a person in some circumstances -- energy, basic core "truths", emotions. But a lot of that is just picking up on body language, tones, visual cues and so on.
