Companies in flap over dissidents gave to Clinton

Whoops!  Bill might yet again be a stumbling block to Hillary's ambitions.

At first I thought you screwed up the title, but right there it is in the link. Seems to me there is a word missing somewhere.

I don't give all that much weight to this issue for a few reasons. The money's intended purpose for one. This is not lobby money. Also, they already have the money and don't have to do a thing. Thirdly, there is very little if anything she could do to change laws in other countries pertaining to internet use. There are alot more important debating points to say the least.

So yes, a stumbling block perhaps, but nothing like a wall by any stretch. If so, to be fair we would have to look into  every dime every politician took, from whom and for what reason.

I learned recently* that Nixon financed his 1946 (I think) campaign with winnings from a high stakes poker game. Who were the other players, and more importantly, did they let him win ?

[*source : Jeopardy. They have good reason to research their facts]

Anyway, I hope this doesn't become another war with people accusing each other of being biased at best. I hope everybody who embraces the hobby of looking for dirt on politicians has a fruitful experience at it.

From one of the governments own mouths : Follow the money.

For the record, I don't think she should get the post. Her own words did that, and unfortunately her gender. Much as I hate to say it, no Woman should be secretary of state right now with all that is going on in the middle east. She has also stated that she refuses to meet with leaders of certain countries.

If Obama really wants to give her a job, I say put her in the EEOC or something like that.

"Follow the money" came from the Deep Throat charactor in the film "All the Presidents Men." Whether it was actually uttered by the individual, or is just a Hollywood-ization, is something I don't know.

Likely just a tempest in a teapot...but one never knows with US politics, the most inane things get blown way out of proportion.
