Hello all,

I am new to this entire lifestyle and yet I feel so familiar with it. I've known since I was a child that I was submissive, but I never understood why, or rather, why others didn't understand my submissiveness. Many people think I am just extremely blessed to possess such a giving, patient attitude. But I realized when I stumbled on BDSM that this is what my submissive heart had been waiting for.

I AM NOT SEEKING A MASTER, but friends who can help me learn along the way. I thought about BDSM for a month before I decided to make the plunge into learning about the lifestyle. I don't do things without clear plan and knowledge of what I am doing. I am not interested at this point in becoming a slave or someone's sub, but I am extremely interested in any information regarding sub's that anyone can give me.

I know next to nothing. I'm not even familiar with some of the terms used, such as "r/l" and "Gorean". So anything would help.

Thank you all!

I am a mature Dom willing to answer your questions

IrishMist -> RE: Hello all, (12/30/2005 9:47:28 AM)

Hello Aina, and welcome to the boards. You will find a great many people here who are more than willing to help answer questions. Just remember, go slowly, and use the same common sense you would in the Vanilla world. I hope your journey is a long and fulfilling one :) Don't be shy, jump in the boards, ask questions, answer questions...the only stupid question is the one not asked.

miticantenslaved -> RE: Hello all, (12/30/2005 10:11:08 AM)

bless you aina, miti greets you. steeldoor has some great articles for you to read, make note of "submissive frenzies" if you will.

miti thinks you will find many people here, willing to help you, not asking anything in return *coughs and ahems*

bless be

~miti

greetings aina,

You found the right place to learn of the lifestyle so welcome to CM and the fountain of info here.

On another note, I have mentored many like you that needed a hands off source for honest input, so if in need of candid experienced consult, drop me a line

Good Luck

CP

I, like you am new to this site, but I have been in this life for many, many years. IrishMist gave you good advice, go slow, think before you act, just as you would in any situation of life. I wish you well in your journy, if I can ever be of help to you, all you need do is ask.

I wonder if I should go slow? Maybe read the threads? Hmmmm (*scratches her chin in a very Freudian manner*)

Joking. Thank you all so much! I really appreciate all that you have said! If you want to tell me anything else, feel free.

Just one thing. There are many on here who will go out of their way to give you honest advice; while others...well, you are a bright girl, you know. Take everything you hear from others with a grain of salt until you start feeling more comfortable. This journey can be a wonderful one, when done right :) Again, welcome, and don't be shy. Not only Celtic, but a good many others here give great advice; seek them out and ask. :)

SirDarkside357 -> RE: Hello all, (1/3/2006 6:27:31 PM)

What is this grain of salt you speak of????? WEG Another piece of good advice.....some of us weirdos are way to out there.

IrishMist -> RE: Hello all, (1/3/2006 6:36:13 PM)

LOL...that grain of salt is me glaring [&:]

Oh, wait a sec...I forgot, I can not glare very convincingly

Was going to say virtually the same thing as IrishMist but it think she has said all I wanted to say. Welcome and enjoy!!

SirAbberation -> RE: Hello all, (1/3/2006 7:21:06 PM)

one of the many things that first confused me when i came into this....was the lack of concrete definitions. To some, this meant one thing, to others, it was something entirely different. That being said, the best advice Anyone could give or get...is this simple...COMMUNICATE. The ideas you have in your head, are only reachable thru you, and vice versa, therefore, regarding the nature of this lifestyle initself lends one to really be clear and concise, eliminating much confusion from the get go. The other thing to always consider, trust your heart. When that quiet voice says...no, dont do it,...TRUST the quiet voice!...when you hear the *go for it*, accept the challenges that come and jump in. The excitement of the moment however should never be one that isnt controlled in some form or fashion, hence, the need to communicate once again...what are the expectations? what are the limits?....what are your desires and longings. .....Yes, you can live on the edge at times..but if thats all your after...go drive a race car...take up sky diving.. there are many alternatives..however, if your looking to incorporate something tangible into a relationship that defies the norms...then this is for you! Once again, welcome to the group. be safe, be smart..BUT MOST importantly...LIVE YOUR LIFE!
