I almost wish McCain had been elected.

Think of all the entertainment value we are going to miss in the coming years.

Never fear.  There is this state called Illinois.  It has a small town, slightly larger than Wasilla.  Chicago, I think?  The media will someday discover it, and you'll get all the comic relief you want over the next four years.

Oh, and there is this place called New York State.  Some chick there thinks she can be a senator.  And know what?  Her uncle killed this other chick.  No, really!  Left her to drown while he dried off!

The kid who got his HS gf pregnant out of wedlock does not come from sterling stock?  Who woulda thunk it?

Palin's rise to stardom was incredibly fast, and her humble origins come to bite her at times.

Marion Barry was videotaped smoking crack cocaine.  The good citizens of Washington D.C. elected him mayor again in 1994, after his arrest, trial, conviction, and imprisonment.

Of course, he's a Democrat, so that makes it ok.

My point was the hilarity of it all.

McCain nominated Palin to appease conservative Christian fundamentalists who believe that drugs and pre-marital sex are scourges of society caused by the liberal media and the liberal politicians.

Forgive me if I find the thought of several mobile homes on the White House front lawn housing Palin's extended family as being too funny,  in what might have become a scary reality.

Damn, Obama was raised by his grandma, and Obama's brother lives on almost nothing in a tiny hut in Africa, a hut that has a dirt floor... and he gets absolutely no assistance from the great Liberal Obama, who has millions.

Obama's aunt is an illegal alien living in a slum... maybe you find all that hilarious too.

No, I only gloat on the hypocrisy of those who build their careers gloating on the sufferings of others, then expect sympathy and understanding when they are in the same situation.
