I flirt in real life too. And the friends that I am flirting with know there's no seriousness attached to it.

I have noticed that I'm freer online, and flirt much more than in RL.  I have flirted with women in RL moniogamous relationships, and flirted with literally a dozen women at the same time.  I have also noted a tendency of women to flirt with other women more..

I think that it's cool that there is a medium (the Net) which permits flirting without any seriousness attached to it.

Anyone else?

I don't flirt in r/l. Someone might think I was for real and I would hate to mislead them. Plus if I try to flirt in r/l and get slapped down for it, the rejection hurts more.

Here, by the time I get back to a thread it doesn't matter. If they flirt back, fine. If not I've already forgotten about it. No bad possible repercussions. They don't like it, they don't respond. That's a lot different then standing up, walking away and leaving me with egg on my face or on theirs.

I have no problem flirting online till/unless the others person does thet cyber sex thing, then its a instant turn off.

I dont or havent flirted in real life in a while as I am minus anyone to flirt with. I might have to take lessons to remember how.

Im also shy at first unless there is a long time friendship online, my anxiety defiently gets the best of me

Absolutely.  I enjoy flirting in forums such as these where I feel "familiar" with certain people, even though I haven't met them.  And yeah, it's easier to do here than in real life.  But my flirting is usually genuine...In other words I mostly flirt with guys (and a girl here or there) that I'm actually drawn to or attracted to.  I have to admit though, on rare occasion, I'll throw someone a mercy-flirt too.

In real life, I flirt a bit too, but it's not as easy, and it's after I feel comfortable with someone, and even at that, I'm still bashful and I usually end up making myself blush.  A little embarassing but oh well.

So what you're saying is we're actually allowed to flirt here?... I so did not get that memo... [;)]

GoodFeathers -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 1:23:11 PM)

yeah, I tend to flirt on and offline, whether I'm attached or not.  My flirting is meaningless unless I state otherwise.

~Fast Reply~

I'm just a flirt, and I flirt all the time with my friends online or offline. I do flirt on here, maybe I'm secretly hoping it will lead to something. [;)]

sblady -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 1:57:29 PM)

I flirt all the time, IRL as well as online.  I keep it clean and usually rely upon double entendres or flirt with folk that can read between the lines.

However,  I make sure the recipient of said flirting is receptive and aware that I'm flirting.

cravesdom -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 2:08:28 PM)

I flirt a lot. In rl and online. My honey knew that coming into this relationship, so no biggie. If he were the jealous type there might be issues. But then again, he flirts too.

impishlilhellcat -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 2:20:00 PM)

Oh goodness I flirt all the time although I do find myself flirting much more offline that I do online

FourQ -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 4:39:51 PM)

I rarely flirt, I'm not particularly accomplished at it, but I'm the same online as IRL in every aspect.

girlygurl -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 4:44:02 PM)

I'm just a big flirt on and off the computer.

MarksFantasyGirl -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 8:32:43 PM)

Online, I can flirt with strangers.  But in RL, I only flirt with my friends.  I'm really very shy until I get to know someone.  But on here, I flirt CONSTANTLY.  I was told to quit.  But I can't.  ::shrug::

zakkan -> RE: Being polyflirtatious online. (12/21/2008 9:26:51 PM)

Hello.  I'm Fannie, and I'm a flirtaholic with my mind in the gutter.....  it's been 2 minutes since my last flirty moment

Ok, 1 step down.... 11 more to go!

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem!
