I do not webcam, I'd rather hear a voice on the end of the phone and then meet in person after some time. So no not all Dommes do this, but those who do I am sure are doing it for their safety as they want to make sure that the sub is the gender(person) that they claim to be. ~Lashra

I would tell you that I barely know you and have no obligation to do what you ask of me. That since we're just starting to get to know each other, It is absolutely ok for me to refuse requests, or orders from you untill I know you better and have decided I want to explore the possibilities of the beginnings of a power authority dynamic. Which would be fine, but I would still stand by My assertion that it would imply that you would not be the type of submissive that I was looking for. Please remember that I never said that I request that all submissives appear on cam for Me. It is only something that comes about after that submissive has gotten to know Me and wants to accept orders from Me.

See, if I wanted equality, I'd be on eharmony or some other type of site, rather than CM. If someone can't understand that they aren't always going to get what they want, and submit to what I do want on a small matter like this, I highly doubt they are going to submit on bigger issues. I, personally, feel that no dominant has the right to expect me to obey till we've both agreed that I'm theirs. I won't go on cam unless the person is willing to as well so I know they aren't a wanker who snagged someone's pictures from a google image search. I'm thinking that LadyP is talking more about someone who has already been vetted to a certain degree, and is at least partially interesting enough to her that she MIGHT consider taking a next step, not just some random sub who she's just begun talking to. That was my take on it anyway... but I could be wrong.
