cuz, I'm going to whine---I was cutting evergreen boughs with a hand pruner and cut through the fleshy part of My hand under the two middle fingers!!! Now I face Yule with stitches and a huge bandage!

ok whine over, you may now return to your holiday programming.

Oh dear, sorry to hear of your injury, and I know it is no fun with a big bandage on your hand, it kind of hinders doing anything. I know, because Thursday I had a little accident, I dropped my straight razor and seeing as it was going vertically downwards, I was not keen on it hitting anything on the way down, so I swiped at it to knock it out the way, all this in a fraction of a second. The swipe worked, but I managed to take a fair slice of finger off, blood everywhere. I after swearing a bit, shoved the sliced bit back on and held it till the blood slowed a bit, then bandaged it, it still bled through the bandage. I ended up with a bandaged finger like a tree frog, totally useless. Next day I had a look at it, the sliced bit had stuck, so I made butterfly sutures and applied, so far so good, it is now coated in honey and plastered, but still useless and annoying.

Yes, it needed stitches, but there was no way I was going to the hospital, I had a party to go to.

ouchies!!  that's one of the reasons i like the fake trees and artificial garland and all that, especially with the rugrats helping decorate, someone is bound to get a little carried away and zig when they should have zagged!  hope your holidays are happy anyway all you accident prone folks!

I empathize with all of you.

And...

Never under estimate the power of super glue. I've glued many a wound with no ill effects. In fact one cute was to the bone on my thumb and you can't even see a scar.

Well you did ask for someone to pass the cheese.

You should be careful what you wish for.

some cheese

Sorry about the accident, hope the 'cheese' cheers you up.

Get well soon, and Happy Holidays.
