Rep. Frank: Obama 'Overestimates' Ability to Unify

With "allies" like this, Dear Leader won't need many enemies.

So glad partisan politics is at an end.[8|]

Well, if most of the sniping occurs within his own party, I WOULD say we're beyond partisan politics.

Good thing, too.  The political system is designed to provide weights and balances.  I'd rather see it like this than partisan bickering.

It`s as if his critics want him to fail or perform poorly. And by extention, also want America to as well.

Funny, just the other day, cons were blaming bush`s econo-mess on Franks and calling him a liar.

Now they`re quoting him?.................[&:]

Desparation ,tears and sour grapes.....a sorry mix.

CL,
Your point is what?  Do you ever actually have one?  You either are not intelligent enough to understand what Rep Frank was saying or you are just intent on slinging anything around.

Lessee....Barney Frank was saying the partisan bickering will continue and Dear Leader is deluded if he thinks he can stop it.....

In other words, "change" has not come to Washington.....not at all.

Which means Dear Leader is gonna have to pay if he wants to play (essentially echoing what Queen Nancy said to his enforcer Rahm Emmanuel when she schooled him on how to supplicate before her and her court).

Way to combine things you wish to.

I didn't read anywhere that he referenced the President elect as deluded.

Over estimate:  to hold in too great esteem or to expect too much from
delude : to mislead the mind or judgment of; deceive

I do believe the part of the definition of over estimate he was using was this one, "to expect too much from".  That is he expects to much from the far right because they are not interested in anything but their own agenda.  He did name people and how they turned on Bush.

Nice try on your part but can't you actually find something productive to do with your time?

K

Ah, so you're saying we should not expect anything from Dear Leader and we won't be disappointed?

Oh, wait, no, you're saying we should not expect the Democrats to avoid divisive, partisan rhetoric like Frank's snide commentary.

Or are you saying that Frank is whining that Republicans actually will oppose Dear Leader's duplicitous, deceitful, and downright dumb demagoguery?

PlayfulOne -> RE: Rep. Frank: Obama 'Overestimates' Ability to Unify (12/23/2008 12:46:09 PM)

No,

I think what he said was to expect them to behave as you do.  Nothing of any real purpose just pointless garbage.
Surely you must have something productive you can do with your time.

I hope your bitterness passes and you find some light in your life

It's OK. Bush is "a uniter, not a divider," and since he's still President, he'll fix all this, Mission Accomplished!

corysub -> RE: Rep. Frank: Obama 'Overestimates' Ability to Unify (12/23/2008 5:55:51 PM)

Obama is not deluded...he is far to clever a politician.  Anyone who doesn't understand just how far left Barack Obama is politically is the one who is deluded.  There is nothing..zero..nada....in his lifework that is centrist...it's all edgy in your face street fighting in the way of Chicago politics.
Ms. Solis is a prime example...a woman who will do everything in her power to strengthen union membership and, conversely, single handedly do more
to move industry offshore than any tax incentive. We have had a dysfunctional democrat controled Congress for the past two years whose major "accomplishment" was an increase in the minimum wage.  In January we will have a "dysfunctional congress on steroids"...and it's gonna be katy bar the door...Actually, Obama may need those bridges he seems to be building towards the republican party to strangle the lunatic Pelosi and Freid from
the rape of the budget with pork in the hundreds of billions...

I think Rick Warren was very good choice. Warren is very popular young leader. Homosexuals should keep quiet at this point. There is nothing in Obama agenda that would possibly hurt their interest.

Good point. He's got about 10 threads going now, and I don't see the point to any of them other than "nyah nyah". Useful and productive political discourse, yes?  But that is par for the course on the other boards that I participate in.

I guess that's the difference. I love people. I love my women, my friends, even a few relatives. But loving a piece of dirt? Well, it's not my kink.

Is there anywhere out there where folks are discussing this stuff without the namecalling and other idiocy?
