India hardens tone; Pakistan calls up jets

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars...."

Not a good way to end 2008, with yet another India-Pakistani war in the offing.

Any bets on which hot spot will produce WWIII?

Given the way Pakistan is falling apart, I'd say if anyone touches it off it will be them.

Although I'd also lay money that the Iranians will be in there damned quick if things start turning that way.

I’ve been of the opinion that we have been fighting world war three since September 11th, 2001.  Nations don’t bother with formal declarations of war anymore – it’s, pretty much been passé since World War Two.

If you mean the REALLY big one....WW3 could easily be caused by a stupid action by Russia causing a "Cuban Missile Crisis" type scenario...posibly with Venezuela at the core, and a naieve, inexperienced President over-reacting.  It's scary when you think who will have their hand on that big red button...a "community organizer"!
