States set to impose bevy of new taxes

How Washington responds to tough economic times isn't the only thing to watch.  Don't underestimate the power of the individual states to gum up the works as well.

Great point!   And don't forget those "hidden taxes" that are going to be coming our way...like making toll roads out of freeways, raising tolls on turnpikes and bridges, and the ever popular
raising of taxes on  gasoline to "save the planet".
Pelosi is on her way towards destroying any possibility of turning confidence around with her
radical green agenda, and Obama is right there with her.  He wants to build an entire infrastructure
to replace the electric grid we have now so his thousands of windmills can send their power to
the masses.  What he, Biden, Pelosi and Reid don't say is that if this Don Cyote windmill thingy of theirs is gonna be viable "back up generators", probably burning fossil fuels have also to be built since wind power is not dependable.  Drilling for oil, drilling for natural gas, clean coal technology, all those things that any sane person would be advocating are way down on their agenda..and only as lip service to the taxpayers who differ in their views versus Congress.
If we can hang on for two years withhout destroying the economy totally things should be corrected in the mid-term election.  People want jobs not greenie "make work cause it makes me feel good" projects that are temporary bandaids to a severe problem.

Why do we keep voting these people back in office?  They are only helping themselves.  I am not talking about one party or the other here.  Both parties seem to be acting for their own benefit rather than the peoples' benefit.

We need another Andrew Jackson type president working for the common person for real rather than paying just lip service.  Getting the big government down to size and if a program isn't working or hasn't been working for years, eliminate, don't keeping trying to fix it with more money.
