stella41b -> RE: It's Xmas Time (12/24/2008 3:28:47 PM)

I'm not jaded nor bitter (December's usually the time when I let things go, including all the negative feelings) but about a month ago I admitted to feelings of 'battle fatigue' over the last year so I dropped out of my characteristic voluntary work with the homeless and decided that I needed some time out to recover and regenerate myself, hence I'm out of circulation. I get a little over two days of peace and solitude before I return to life after the Christmas period. I realize that I'm not the only one 'in recovery' and that there are many people out there who either don't have enough money, who are struggling with illness, family issues, broken relationships, loss of employment, of livelihood, and all the other examples of adversity which go to make up this experience we commonly call life. To these people I also extend my thoughts, prayers, warmth and hugs and though maybe not so merry or happy, I wish all those affected a speedy recovery and a restoration of more favourable circumstances leading to healthier, happier and better times in the coming year. *hugs* stella
