i've only been on this site for a short while ... but it seems to me that i have gotten a lot of mail from self-described "Doms" who appear to believe that giving themselves the label of "Dom" allows them to be rude, demanding, and just basically verbally abusive. and i'm just talking over mail! is this what to expect? ------------ goodgirl33 "sometimes you must surrender in order to achieve"

It is the internet, it is nameless , faceless and there are lots of "wantabees"..... but the good news if you wish to filter out the real from the wantabees there are a lot of nice people on here..hang in there..have a great 2006 DareDevil

Saddly daredevil865 is right there are so many out there being on the net means they can treat others bad. I have always been very polite with others until they are rude to me. There are also who are not true in the lfiestyle and feel this is how you treat subs and slaves.

The fact that they now can hide behind a computer, and never have to face up to their own rudeness only makes it more fun for them. That and the fact that it upsets us...that's what turns them on /shrug blow it off, they are not worth he waste of energy

gg33, rotten talk is rude and unpleasant, but feel fortunate in that they've quickly informed you who and what they are. They won't improve in real life. If you scan the boards, you'll find many courteous doms, kind doms, chivalrous and even gentle doms, depending, often, upon their level of self-confidence and often their level of experience. Wait for a nice dom who suits you: It's far easier to beg a gentle dom to be harder on you, than to beg an abuser to be kind.

Inconsiderate, abusive sefl proclamed Dumb Doms are everywhere. It is a sad fact of internet life. But in our eagerness to condemn the Dom population, let us not forget the self centered male hating silly sub who posts venom and flaunts the " I dare you attitude. You know .. the ones who say " are you man enough". It is unfortunate that there are so many wannabe's out there. What is even more unfortunate, is that they just don't take refuge on these boards, admit their lack of knowledge, and ask for help and guideance. I haven't seen anyone here who has not been willing to lend a hand. My advice to you is to overlook these moronic clowns. There are tons of good people out there and they will surface. Face it ... nothing is easy. If it were, everyone would be doing it!!

If on the other hand you expect intelligent, perhaps witty, understanding and stimulating emails, they will happen but unfortunately, you may find them few and far between. Perhaps instead of sitting back and waiting, you consider emailing those whose profiles match the qualities you are seeking? (And for any of you that say a sub shouldn't ever initiate contact, please show me that rule in the BDSM Rule book or just grow up. Jeez, only one day in the new year and I feeling a bit impatient. But better to be a bit impatient than a bit impotent!)
