i am pretty new to this in general, but have participated in several scenes. Last night i heard a whipping of another submissive over the phone. This was the first time Ii have ever heard someone else get whipped. i enjoy being on the receiving end of the whip, but it disturbed me to hear someone else. i am not sure if this was a normal reaction and if it will get easier.

Do you think that your reaction had something to do with how the other sub reacted to the whipping? If I heard painful screams, indicating that it might have been too intense for the sub, then I would find it disturbing. I enjoy watching a sub being whipped by another Domme, but only if it's clear to me that the sub is getting some pleasure from it (punishments excluded). Be well, Julie

I never do well with hearing certain other subs, especially female subs-- if I am at a dungeon, it really unnerves Me---I still remember a Dom who had his sub whipped by another Dom one night at 1763, the Dom doing the whipping was horrible--and missed her striking her leg in 2 serious occasions---arrogant idiot--- I much prefer the subtle grunts and groans or rapid intake of breath from a male sub--but only when under the control of a Domme I respect--

That could have had something to do with it. But since it was over the phone, i am not sure. i do trust the Dom and the sub is quite safe. i hope that when my Master takes me out, i have a different reaction. Thank you cg

It's normal for you. You may or may not change your feelings about it. You may or may not change your feelings back again. If you would like to get used to it, then talk to the people about it, get exposed to it and just give it time. If you are not interested in that or find it very much not good for you, then you should leave the area and do something you enjoy. I personally get really annoyed when a dom cracks a whip loudly indoors. It bursts into every other scene going on and is totally unnecessary. You can have all the same effect without harming others hearing.

I find that the "sounds of the scene" in public places sometimes work as a background noise and enhance my own scene. Other times they are an intrusion -- such as the loud whip crack LA described or a submissive that is very energetic and loud in her reactions. Certainly I think any submissive should react in whatever way is natural for them but piercing screams, heavy sobbing, loud giggles tend to distract me. I consider this my problem and I just need to focus. However I do get annoyed if there is audible chit chat or q & a going on too close to me and will glare or politely request onlookers speak more quietly.

Right... mental note... if Master ever "plays" me at a party or club....gags need to be involved somehow lol.
