I started the New Year with a new experience - needle play. I know some of you are pros in this area, but I thought my story might be of interest to some considering trying it.
I went to a play party last night, with no specific plans to scene but always open to what might happen. I was introduced to a Dom I knew by reputation only. As we talked, the discussion turned to needle play and I mentioned I wanted to definitely try that at some point. As it turns out, this was one of his areas of proficiency and so we talked some more and negotiated a scene for after midnight.
Almost as soon as he walked away I was hit with temporary anxiety and all the typical symptoms I exhibit from that. A little queasy, almost imperceptibly shaky, and an overall prickliness. (Yes, I am SUCH a wimp!) I took a few minutes to sip some water and breathe through that while I double-checked myself to be sure I was prepared for this unexpected turn. I was.
After the midnight festivities we headed for the scene space and he did some preparation. He briefly walked through exactly what would happen, hygiene things, what to expect and so on. He decided to do a pattern on the inside of each breast. Then he took some time to “connect” with me through some yummy talking with deep eye contact and general touching/holding. At that point I thought I was already completely relaxed and centered, but as he pressed his hand on my back or his head next to mine, I definitely felt myself let go even more.
As the first needle went in the sensation was similar to…well…a needle entering my skin. Not particularly stingy or burning – just a pinch. He told me we would wait for a minute and see how I responded. I lay on the table, feeling like I had a needle in my breast. He put his hand on my forehead and that warmth and pressure was very comforting and centering. After a minute or so he did the second needle and almost immediately after it entered I felt a little head rush. Just a pleasant buzz – a little floaty. After about the fifth needle on that side, I really didn’t even feel the pinch as they went in. Periodically he would pause and place his hand on my forehead or verbally ask how I was. He also continued to talk quietly, reassuring me that I was a natural, doing very well, etc. This Dom was a very good hand-holder for a new girl like myself.
The left side was a little trickier. The submissive in the scene space next to us was very verbal and her sounds plus the whacking/slapping sounds intruded a little. It is my voyeuristic nature to wonder what is happening over there. I am not sure if that is the reason, but the first few needles going in seemed a little more painful than the other side and I was starting to shake just a teeny bit. With the first 2-3 I got a little muscle cramp in my back as they entered, so I asked to move and stretch that out each time. By the third time I realized maybe it was just my lack of focus, so I took some breaths and consciously relaxed and surrendered and then it was MUCH easier.
When he was done I lay there for a while and just enjoyed the drowsy, smiley, pleasant feeling. Eventually he helped sit me up and he poked and prettied his work. I waved down one of the dungeon owners and asked for permission for some pictures. She retrieved my camera and obliged. In the end he did twelve needles on each side. I think he said they were 22 gauge?
Although I am a pro at achieving orgasms (bwaaaahahahahah!) this was the first time I had approached anything even close to an adrenaline/endorphin rush or subspace or however a person might label that lazy, warm, dreamy feeling. For me it was not an intense oh-my-god sensation, but just an all over pleasantness.
Then came the removal. I was not expecting much from this part – just take ‘em out. The first one to be removed was on the bottom right and it bled. Not just a drop but a little trickle. I have never been grossed out by blood, but never considered it terribly erotic either. Until now. I think it was partially my own internal reaction and partially feeding off the reaction of the Dom, as both his nonverbal cues and words revealed that he found that sensual and arousing as well. Yummy. On the right side the bottom 4-5 were near a large vein and bled quite a bit. Not gushing by any means, but more than a trickle. Unfortunately it was enough that, because of the setting, we needed to hold gauze over it and not just let it run down off my breasts and trickle over my thighs. Darn! I was very surprised at the powerful sexual feelings I had from this. If it would have been the appropriate circumstances, I definitely would have jumped him. :)
When it was all over there was some concern I might be spacey or have a delayed reaction of shakiness or lightheadedness or whatever. I was fine though, maybe a little pumped up. I ate and drank a little, talked with people and actually left about 30 minutes later and drove an hour home and went right to bed. No problems at all except a bit of a headache when I woke up this morning.
Needless to say, I look forward to future play in this area. Mmmm.
