ORIGINAL: Aynne88 Why was that funny? My impression is that the young lady was asking this in a serious manner. Unless you were amused by her poor spelling skills, in her profile she mentions that she has severe dyslexia and apologizes for her spelling. Which she needn't do, I think most posters here understood her perfectly well. the sentiment "here, take this for the night" is amusing, to me. yes, there is a difference between a play collar (temporary) and a permanent collar. no, not all collars are something worn around the neck. i have a collar that is a silver bracelet, a collar that is a leather bracelet, and a collar that is a silver ring (that looks like a buckled leather belt). not one means more to me than the other, they're all symbols of the relationship i have with the person who presented them tto me. the three dollar leather dog collar bracelet means no less to me than the expensive gold chain with diamonds hanging from it...yes, one is worth more than the other but they mean the same thing to me, "you belong to me". i just wear the leather on less formal occasions, or when it needs to be less obvious what the collar *is*. kitten
